The food is always excellent, and the service used to be, also. Not so much the past couple of times we were there, though. It's really embarrassing to invite friends to a restaurant after singing its praises, and then be almost completely ignored by the waitstaff. Our server was quick to show us to our table (we were a party of 5 in a restaurant that was about half full), and brought our drink order quickly as well. After a longish wait, he returned for our order, which was really long in coming out. When attempting to get the server's attention for drinks, chips and salsa refill during the long wait for our food to arrive, it was impossible to get the server's attention. Then after the food finally was brought out, we needed drink refills, and still could not get his attention. Even though the food wasexcellent, as always, I doubt we will be returning, at least until the waitstaff gets better trained.
So it's been a year since my last review, and we decided to try again. When we arrived, we saw that the restaurant was about half full. No one greeted us, so I asked a passing waitress if we should seat ourselves, she said yeah, anywhere. We sat and waited 15 minutes, during which 2 tables were seated and served chips and drinks. The waitress walked by our table but did not reply when I greeted her.. We left, and definitely will...
Read moreFood: flavor was alright, could definitely do better. Portion size was abysmal for the price and flavor. I ordered the combo fajitas as my partner ordered the enchiladas. Fajitas had 5 little bits of pieces of meat with a raito of 4:1 on the onions with a quarter of a bell pepper unsliced. The refried beans looked very off and way too translucent to trust. The rice was flavorless. Guacamole was equal to what you'd get from walmart. All for a price of $17. You will not spend less than $20 on 1 person here and you will spend $40 if you want to actually be full afterwards.
Service: The server we had was confused even after we pointed to the exact item we wanted on the menu after not understanding which menu item we said, he was still unsure what we were ordering. Took about 15 minutes after we finished eating to deliver the check, then another 6 minutes to accept the card I was trying to hand to him before he walked away after handing me the checkbook.
Atmosphere: I mean. Standard restaurant with a side of the random "pineapple on fire" dish and tableside guacamole being served. Seemed like they are trying to be more professional than...
Read moreThis resturant is a go to for a great meal after a long day! There are so many options and all are prepared within a reasonable time! The staff is very respectful and always willing to make sure you have the best experience at thier resturant. We have gone here multiple times to celebrate, fellowship with friends, and even just a date night with the hubs! We have never regretted choosing this place to have a meal and great service. The only reason I give 4 stars is because the building is a little small , therefore gets crowded fast but that just proves my point of it being so good! If you are passing through the little town of Anderson, stop by here for some good food! If I couldn't recommend a dish there because you have to go for yourself! There are so many delicious options you can choose from and they even have good options for the kids if they do not want mexican food! I cannot say enough that this resturant is a perfect stop for you and your family! They also have breakfast which blows my mind and is also incredibly delicious! Do not pass this one up but also dont forget to...
