Walked in about 6pm and was greeted by, " at this time we can not accept credit cards, cash only". That's fine, I actually have cash on me. Noticing a piece of paper in my hand the guy then states " because of the corona virus, this location will not accept national store coupons." Well, there went THAT idea. Walked up to the counter and asked for a spicy italian foot long and if he could please throw mariana sauce on it that would be great. Now I hear, "We don't have any marinara or meatballs at this time." It's 6 o'clock, you don't close for another 3 hours, I screamed to myself. At this point another customer walked in so went ahead and let them start their order as I cluelessly looked at the menu for a viable substitute. You like what you like I guess, so I hardly ever order anything differently. At this point, I'm forced to use cash (who carries cash these days? But I digress), am not allowed to use my coupon, and due to some 'artist' not wanting to prep more meatballs for the night am forced to explore the depths of my appetite for something else. I should eat a little healthier I scole myself their chopped salads are pretty good. And I see everything in the veggie bins I would require. Done. Can I get the chicken bacon salad (baby steps to healthier). Now I'm being helped by the lady that has popped out from the 'back room' in an attempt to help her buddy in arms. She grabs the togo container that would become my dinners last resting spot and and throws some lettuce, tomato's, cucumbers, ect. I think once again, something just isn't quite right. Maybe it's for portion control, that makes since. But then she starts tearing the bacon apart and tossing them into the pile of veggies. I blurted out, you are going to chop the salad right? "We don't do that here." In my amazement I I ask, 'you don't chop the chopped salad? Am I supposed to eat the tomatoes and onion and cucumber whole? Not to mention the jurassic sized leaves of spinach I added on. Whole?' Well maybe it was childish of what I did next but I just told them to 'forge it' and NTFO. I don't know if it was bad training, laziness, or just wanting to the absolute minimum to gain a paycheck, but I had my limit I guess. Frustrated and no longer wanting to deal with other humans at the time I went home and ordered pizza (and they had everything I asked for).
TL, DR: This subway location at 6pm in the evening has nothing...
Read moreIntake Manger for our office went to pick up subs for the office and came back for everyone with sandwiches. The white bread was ridiculously old and stale. Called to them (as if I haven't eaten at subway for the past 20 years.. also used to manage one in Huntley, IL for 2 years in High School) and the owner starts yelling at me telling me it was door dash's fault and I explained that they made the sandwiches in front of her at the store.
Then she continues to tell me that the bread was made this morning and its all super fresh etc. I will upload the photo of mine so you can see how fresh it was but I couldn't even eat the end because I couldn't even tear it off. Also, lady. why would I bother to call and tell you it was stale AND write this review if it wasn't hard as a brick!
I didn't ask for anything or want anything literally called to tell them to throw it away and not serve it to anyone else and then she starts telling me I am wrong, it is fresh and I don't know what I am talking about.. "do you want another one... come get it then!" she finally ends with as a solution. Do I want one? Yes - Do I want what I paid for... yes! Can I take the limited time left on my lunch to come back and pick it up.. No!
Just trying to remember your slogan.. what was it again.. oh yeah "eat fresh" not "eat day old bread we couldn't sell yesterday" so screw the customers tomorrow and charge them a ridiculous full price for a sandwich when we know FULL WELL that all you are trying to do is .30 cents.. I mean bread! Literally bread - the absolute cheapest part of the sandwich.
Get real and just be honest and stop serving old food to people bc of your chase for the almighty dollar. Myself and none of our staff will be back. I might mention we have 70 people in our office and I will send out an email to everyone with this...
Read moreI suggest if you’ve eaten here in the past 24-72 hours you go get covid tested if you’re having symptoms. Went in for lunch around 2-3pm. Ordered food. Went to fill up our drinks and there was a employee sitting at one of the tables with a covid test. Talking very loudly on the phone with I’m assuming the manager or owner named Rita. Claiming he tested positive yesterday but is negative today and refusing to stay at work and that he was going to the hospital. I’m assuming they were arguing over him staying at work. First off if an employee test positive in the first place why are you even at work or allowing your employees to stay at work. But wait, it gets worse. The same employee with the covid test then proceeds to go behind the counter touching things 🤮. When he leaves 1 employee and someone hanging out in the lobby then are speaking about how the current employee in store has been in close contact with someone and he’s allowed to be at work. Never again will I be back at this store. If you own this store you need to shut down and deep clean your store. I would be embarrassed to have this happening in front of customers at my store. Let me also add that the table the positive employee was sitting at wasn’t cleaned while...
