Well we went here looking for Scooters! Found out it's no longer Scooters! We were initially stopping just for a drink and then continue our travels until our Host, bartender, server Manual talked us into trying some of the salsa and chips. I'm a fan of good salsas and Los Venados recipe didn't disappoint. Of course that led to trying the Mexican Sausage Queso dip (Queso Fundito). Listen if you don't want to eat anything just try this dip out with the chips! It's Muy Bueno!
Look you know by now from my reviews where this is going. We ordered food. Totally changed travel plans and said lets do this.
Burrito Don Juan! Wow what a dish. This massive Burrito comes topped with Pineapple's, Shrimp, and Chorizo and comes packed chalk full of chicken, steak, or both with all the other fixins to make a great Mexican dish.
Fajita Burrito! What a dish same options as the Don Jaun, Steak or Chicken or both. It comes with a choice of beans or Spanish Rice and I opted for the Spanish Rice. Muy Bueno!
They offer a large selection of Tequilas for all your margarita options as well as many other options and have a nice selection of Draft import and domestic beers.
If you're in the Pymatuming area in PA or OH and want to try out a nice Mexican dish in a very nice Restaurant' go try out Los Venados Andover on the Ohio side...
Read moreWe attended a lecture in Andover and wanted to get dinner before driving home. There were few options. But we found a Mexican restraunt midway between Andover and Lake Pymatuning of all places. We found it. Plenty of parking. Good signage. Interior wasMexican-ish. Low key but bright and clean. There was no crowd so we were seated immediately. The menu was large, 10 pages with detailed writeups on everything. It took us a while to plow thru it. We snacked on the chips and salsa as we selected. I ordered the Maco Mucho Burrito and my companion the Quesadilla de Cameron's. Our food appeared in under 10 minutes. The food portions were HUGE. Nicely plated and presented. The seasoning profile was not what I expected. Very little citrus or coriander. Faint cumin. The poblano pepper really popped. The shrimp was nicely done. The chicken and chorizo added a nice layer. I didn't really care for the quest sauce. It was too thin for my taste. Did I mention the HUGE portion. I also want to mention the friendly and professional service. I think this location was selected to serve vacationers. In any case we had an unexpected great meal and good memories of nice food and...
Read moreWe had dinner here twice in three days it was so good. Dinner 1 with my husband I had the traditional margarita Lima, quesadilla di pollo and my husband had quesadilla Hawaiian. In what seemed like a split second, we had chips, fresh salsa and Cole slaw. The salsa has larger than usual diced onions and plenty of cilantro. I loved it! We also ordered Mexican cheese. The food was hot and delicious. You don’t know what you’re missing until you’ve had a charred to perfection quesadilla. My husband enjoyed his food as well. Dinner 2 was with a group of family including 3 kids 5 and under. We were seated in the party room and in no time they had opened windows to let in fresh air, brought in a speaker and put on music, brought two baskets of chips, two bowls of salsa and two bowls of cole slaw. This time I ordered quesadilla de camaron. My husband got fajita venado. We will definitely go back when we are...
