You either have younger children, or you remember when you did. You are out and about, and suddenly they are hypoglycemic. They need a milkshake/candy bar/soda right now, and perhaps some food to go with it. They "suddenly realized" they have not yet eaten breakfast and they are absolutely STARVING right now... I expect this from 12 year olds. My sons are wayyyyyy grown now. I get this from all three of my family. Husband and both sons. I thought it was rude to say we are only 30 minutes from home, where we have lots of food, since this son was dutifully driving me around. Not like I can't drive myself... Of course I said, "OK, let's find somewhere to get a bite to eat for you". I did, after all, create this monster. I always fed them when they said they were hungry, just in case I might otherwise be accused of never indulging them. We were near Love's (gas station/truck stop if you are not familiar). Not somewhere we normally stop, but we decided to see whether he had anything interesting. They had a Carl's Jr burger place. I had not been to one, nor had my son. If you have not been, don't. It said flame grilled. Prices seemed reasonable. I ordered a double cheeseburger, fries, drink for 7.99. Son ordered something similar. They brought it to our table, Nice. I had ordered mine "dry" (no sauces) because I like it like that. Took top bun off to make sure there were no sauces. Squinted at what was under that bun top. It was cut out with little points all around. Maybe a 1/4 inch thick. It was slightly yellowy gray. Had some sort of sticky "slick" on it. Looked vaguely like a piece of badly cooked breakfast sausage. I thought they had given us the wrong order. I asked my son to look in his. He had the same tiny (maybe 2 inches across) hockey pucks. We tasted a French fry. They looked reasonable. Nicely browned, EWWWWWWWWWWWW. Extruded potato flakes. As if making French fries was a difficult task. I took the tray up to the counter and asked the person there whether we had, indeed received the wrong order. Showed her the thing inside my bun. She assured me it was, indeed, a "burger".... We did get a...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI am only giving this review and not the one I typically would do too a specific situation that happened in September. Due to this, it not only bothered me, yet it also has traumatized my young children. When going through the drive thru, for lunch for my young children and myself. Which, mind we don't typically go during the lunch hours. The guy, that I recognize as a shift lead made a very and inappropiate comment when ask for donations for the children at that time. I quote, "Do you want to save a child or kill a child?" At that point I almost felt like I had too, but also didn't want my children getting the wrong idea if I didn't. So, I made the donation. After pulling off and stopping somewhere else to eat with my children. The food was cold, he was not only out of line, but also very rude. I have since then had to try and explain to them everyday that what was said is NOT okay and have had to explain that what was said was not okay behavior, even for an adult like themselves. Now the only time we will go back, is during dinner. Due to the food always being fresh, the atmosphere is not only friendly, but makes us feel like were home. There's one person, that's a higher up and she is absolutely amazing. Always greets us with a smile and really makes us feel welcome. I can't exactly remember her name, but I know it started with an A. The dinner time, I would give them 5 stars all the way around. Otherwise, I couldn't...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreAfter giving a bad review on a Burger King it's nice to give a really good review on Carl's jr. in Angleton Texas off of Highway 288 + 523 On March 13th 2019 at about 2 p.m. I arrived to this establishment to find a very clean very welcoming environment the young lady working the counter had a beautiful smile on her face and her name was Tiffani She spoke up loud and clear with most joyful sound in her voice stating "Welcome to Carl's Junior, we will be right with you." and when they say right with you, they mean right with you. The wait was not long at all. I placed my order and was given a large cup for my drink, by the time I walk to the counter and finished filling my drink, before I had a chance to put a lid on it they were calling my number, and had my food ready to go, it was hot tasted delicious, and I had no complaints the order. It was perfect, they made no mistakes, and I have to add that the fruit loop Donuts that they warm up for you, was a massive treat after such a great meal. I would like to give 10 Stars to this establishment and also give the management a nice UPS of hiring a proper well oiled team that delivered service to anyone that walked into their doors. Again thank you Miss. Tiffani for being so professional welcoming and sweet. Carl's...
