Heart Breakers — Restaurant in Antigo

We visited on a Friday night, getting there about 4:45pm...and so glad we got there a bit early! People love this place(: We had deep fried onion rings with BBQ and ranch 😋 I had baked Haddock with 1/2 + 1/2 potato salad and fries and it was all delicious. Even EXTRA napkins right on the table!! The acoustics of the building very nice. The noise from the bar area seemed to be muffled for our lovely dining experience. Food was tasty (someone knows what they're doing in the kitchen) Service was pleasant, server, I heard was there ALL day but was still punctual, pleasant, not overly friendly but pleasant .she was busy and tired I'm sure. Google won't acknowledge that they are serving in their dining room! Looking forward to a Friday fish fry! Updated after our meal. We had a group of four. We arrived early at 4 there were already several tables and nearly a full bar! The friendly welcome and super waitress made my father's birthday meal one to remember. We ordered beers and 1 martini and fish. The martini was poured right and the beer selection was above average for the area. The baked fish was tender and flaky with no strong fishy taste, the fried fish was lightly battered and delicious. The combo platter was a tasty mix and was very good as well. The waitress was all hustle yet very personable. By the time we left at 5:30 there were but one or 2 tables open and standing room only at the bar! Not a well kept secret . I am messaging for my girlfriend, who took her dad there for the first time for Father’s Day. She planned ahead because she knew it would be busy on Saturday night. They waited for 20 minutes to get a drink, then 30 minutes to order, lost track of how long it took before they got their food and when they did it was cold. My girlfriend resorted to self service for the carry out so they could finally get out of there.

The stars would be even less if it wasn’t for the hostess and the waitress that the hostess went to get to help us. We have been there before a few times and had GREAT service and food! Sadly, her Dad won’t ever return but we will.
