I wish that I could give a better review. Unfortunately, this place was not my favorite. I had vodka & soda water, and my drinks were so strong that it simply was not enjoyable. A heavy pour is not always a good thing. Maybe a 21 year old would want something so strong. However, I like to enjoy my drink while having conversations with friends. Not get drunk. I guess I am more of a conassour type drinker. The food was something of a horror show. Totally inedible. I had the red snapper. There was no flavor / no seasonings that I could tell. It was cooked ok, just bland. The menu claims the vegetables are sautéed, but they were actually super blanched and mushy. I couldn't eat them as it was like eating baby food. I couldn't have the pasta as the sauce had onions in it. But my husband said it was ok, but the noodles we over cooked. He also had the prime rib.. No flavor, just bland the horse radish was so strong everyone at our table jumped upon tasting it. So it was overkill on the flavor. The bread was great. The salad was good. The server was kind and remembered to get mine separated on account of my onion allergy. Our server was pleasant. At the end of our dinner, after paying, we were rushed out by the bar tender asking us to finish our drinks at the bar, which was fine... but he was super assertive about it. No mind, we had just paid close to a $400 tab. We weren't lingering by any means, just getting our to go stuff in order to leave and finish our drinks.
Anyhow. Like I said. We weren't happy with our food. But the atmosphere was nice. The bathroom was clean. So there are...
Read moreI took my wife and kid there on the recommendation of multiple coworkers, and it did not disappoint. The highlight of the meal for me was the soup and bread, as many other reviews have said the salad is an afterthought, with just some green lettuce and Italian seasoning with a salami slice on top (I don't get the purpose for that part.)
The serve the minestrone family style, there is no other soup. . .but honestly the minestrone is unique and delicious!!!
The drinks are super affordable and well made. I had a triple whiskey sour my wife had a bud light, we ordered the Salmon the extra cut prime rib and the for the kid a hamburger steak. The sides were the same pasta with "sauteed" mixed green veggies.
To be honest the one criticism I have and the reason for not getting 5 ✨ is that I would prefer them to leave the mixed veggies and pasta off of the plate entirely because they too are clearly an afterthought and not very good, the salad was an afterthought but no bad, we tried a bite of each the pasta and mixed veggies and didn't finish them because they just are not well made, they also make the plates really greasy.
However, the proteins were all perfectly cooked and seasoned, and were absolutely delicious.
This is going to become a regular place for my family as it is right off the freeway on our route home from work, in spite of the bad sides. I just plan on ordering next time without the sides!
Also I would recommend just the soup and bread combo as it is delicious and...
