I got the lemon chicken and it was like the prefried little round batter balls where u can't tell where the batter ends and the chicken begins. It's like they were bought at Walmart, in a box and then cooked. Then the lemon sauce was in a separate bowl. So basically I got a big plate of round doe chicken weird things that had absolutely nothing on them and were dry.. and then a little bowl of lemon stuff, I guess to dip them in??.. maybe it's the new French fry version of Chinese food??? I have no idea but I will never ever order that and I will try to go to the other Chinese place in gold Canyon instead. The only reason I'm giving it a 2 and not a 1 is because the lemon sauce actually kind of tasted like lemon but at the same time I have a feeling it's just one of those bottles that you buy at Walmart and they just poured it into a bowl and microwaved it or something. Rice wasn't even steamed sticky rice.. its like the kinda that u boil in water in a pan.. like my Italian dad use to make.. ever one was like ... ummmmmm???
I decided to try it again so I took my girlfriend, my first mistake LOL and both of our food had great flavor but I swear the meat is not real. It's either strips of fat that are just chewy or it's some type of processed something. Because when you chew on it, it doesn't chew like meat. It resists like rubber and it was all like that. So yeah, I won't go there again, unfortunately. Pretty good service, but the food is just too cheap. You can go to the asian buffet on signal butte and pay the same amount and not only get way more food, but the meat actually chews up like meat. I actually felt bad for my girlfriend...
Read moreThis was my second time at Great Wall and I was thoroughly happy once again with this time being a dine in experience. We were immediately greeted by the very hospitable staff working the dining area and seated quickly. We were supplied fried wonton chips and sweet and sour sauce which were delicious while our soft drinks were prepared although wine and both import and domestic beers were available choices for our next visit. The food was very quick too the table, we enjoyed fried wontons as an appetizer and egg foo young and the combination fried noodles for our entrees and we were not disappointed in anyway piping hot, fresh, great appearance, delishious, and enough food to have ask excrement lunch the next day. The service overall was fantastic our drinks were always full and the staff was courteous and friendly. Oh one last thing, the free doughnut was a delicious little sunrise that was greatly appreciated. We look forward to our...
Read moreI will NEVER go to this establishment again! A number of weeks ago, I placed a to go order for three family style dinners. When I got to my destination, we noticed we had three Happy Family entrees. When I called to complain, the girl insisted that's what I ordered. I went in the next day because I spent $40 on food I didn't order and wanted to give them a chance to make it right. She refused to do anything about it.
A few days ago, I received my credit card bill and noticed that they had charged me approximately $80! Luckily I still had my receipt and after spending an hour on the phone to talk to my credit card company, I had to go in again. After about 10 minutes of them discussing it in a very rude manner, they finally refunded me what was overcharged with no explanation of why...
