Luigi's Restaurant — Restaurant in Arcadia

So here is the reason I won't come back. I really hate being lied to. Here's what happened.. so I love pizza, I love finding the best margarita pizza. I call to order one and this "Italian" restaurant hasn't got a clue what that is. Ok, so give me a no pepperoni, she said 15-20 minutes. I show up 21 minutes later to an empty restaurant to get my food, I tell the girl in front my order name, she goes to the back window and comes back and says "they are boxing it up now, would you like to pay now" sure, I pay, and then wait. After ten minutes I start to smell the pizza. After 17 minutes she hands the food to me. It's extremely hot, just came out the oven. Don't lie to me. I'm not stupid. You didn't make my food until I got there. Top it off the pizza was too greasy to enjoy. There's a line there between cheesy and greasy and they failed. We went here on the great reviews. My husband ordered the daily special of stuffed flounder, I had the chicken and broccoli linguini and a meat pie and we both got sweet tea. The best part of our meal was the garlic bread and tea. His flounder was 2.5x2.5x1, there were two little hushpuppy fingerlings and a large baked potato that came with a packet of sour cream. The meat pie was loaded with pepper. The chicken and broccoli linguini had no flavor. Even Ragu has flavor, I asked for parmesan cheese and was given 2 packets of Kraft parmesan. Talk about a hidden gem!! Took a run from Nashville to an electric type place south of Arcadia, came into town and saw this place and gave it a try. A true authentic Italian restaurant in the deep south definitely!!! The food was excellent. Great selection on the menu, prices were very good, it had an all you can eat salad bar, the waitress was very sweet. The restaurant was pretty decent size. Service was really good. Over all a great experience. Never expected a great authentic Italian restaurant in North rural Louisiana. If you're in Arcadia or passing through definitely give it a try!!!
