I was a little disappointed with this place. We thought we were going to eat at a little mountainy kind of restaurant but it didn't turn out that way. The sign did say Pinewood Restaurant and Bar which covered up an older sign that said Pinewood Restaurant. The "Restaurant" part of this place was closed with a note on the door that said please use the bar entrance. We walked into the bar and it was just that, a bar. There were tables but we were in a bar area with no windows and some kind of sports on TV. The access to the restaurant part of the building was closed off. It's a shame, too. It looked nice. Even had a little fireplace in it. It's the opposite kind of atmosphere of the section of the building we were in. We ordered a Club Sandwich, a Reuben, and a couple of sodas. The food came fairly quickly and the server was nice. The food was disappointing though. Very little meat in both sandwiches. The flavor was good but the size was severely lacking for the price we paid. Something was also off about the sodas. They tasted strange. Maybe something wrong with the water filtration? I'm not sure. If you're looking for a bar, it seems to be one. If you're looking for a restaurant,...
Read moreappeared 16 year olds were waitressing. claimed no bar tender was in and the cook would make drinks when they could, stated they had to get a managers premission to sample a beer we had interest in, bloody mary listed on menu $5 they charged $7.50 and stated that's there old menu and there is nothing they can do about it, charged $2.95 for a tap soda water, burger was decent but not amazing. decor was old, art was lame, 2nd seating area and bar was disconnected from the restaurant which was bizarre from the outside looked like bar was closed and not in business. If your fine with an over priced dive bar with sub par food and service then you may have no problems. it seemed a place that knows they can get away with it bc they are the only restaurant on your way back to the highway after camping and most likely won't see you again nor do they care if you come back on your next trip. places like this typically go out of business...
Read moreI stopped at Pinewood Bar and Grill on Sat and Mon, Sat you can have breakfast all day, Monday follows the regular pattern of breakfast, lunch and dinner menus. I was served quickly and attentively, Saturday the place was pretty full, Monday I was the only customer when I walked in. Good tasty food both days. On Saturday I had the typical breakfast eggs, hashbrowns, sausage and buttered toast with preserves on the side. The sausage patties were huge and very tasty, eggs were just as I asked, over easy, hashbrowns crispy and satisfying. Monday I had a BLT which hit the spot perfectly, not too heavy but tasty tomato, lettuce and a generous portion of bacon on wheat toast. Pinewood B&G is just 30 minutes south of Flagstaff AZ but if you don't want to hassle with the traffic in Flagstaff, Pinewood in Munds Park has easy access both in and out back on...
