Matty's — Restaurant in Arkadelphia

We took the family there to try breakfast and lunch on two different days, because you have to try it all right? The Facebook posts had shown delicious looking meals, so we were excited to try it for ourselves. The food was amazing!

For lunch we had the 2/3 Club with cucumber salad, the white bean soup and half a reuben, kid's grilled cheese and fruit cup, fried chicken tender salad, the daily special nacho casserole, and the banana pudding. Everyone loved their meal, and I especially recommend the 2/3 club.

For breakfast we had a variety of omelets, eggs, oatmeal, pancakes, and biscuits and gravy. Again, really delicious food! I had the Arkadelphia omelet without mushrooms, and it was one of the best I've had in ages. And the biscuits and gravy really hit the spot.

The restaurant is an old house that has been transformed into a restaurant, and has a charm that really leans into the breakfast/lunch theme. I love the staff. They are super friendly and accommodating; it's like they're family.

I highly recommend Matty's. I'm a big breakfast guy, and this is a place I would easily go to weekly and never tire of the.food...

We waited on a Saturday mid morning for 35+ minutes for a menu and finally got up and got them ourselves, 5 in our party. The food took another 40+ minutes, may have been more. My hash browns were not cooked, not browned and the Arkadelphia omelette was fine, but prefer the veggies sauteed a minute or two first and the one slice of toast wasn't toasted/brown either. But prices were good and we love love the old charming home environment. The staff was very very sweet but seemed new or a little overwhelmed that day. Passing through we stopped in for a late lunch. Housed in a beautiful old (early 1900’s) house, lovely setting. The veggie omelette with their homemade salsa was outstanding and you can’t beat their grits. Also had the Strawberry, Pecan and Spinach salad with their homemade Strawberry dressing. Fresh and delicious. Besides the great food, the staff were very friendly and made really good suggestions.
