Update to my review from 9 months ago . My oh my how things change so quickly , the last 4 times I have been here the servers are rude, very slow , laughing at the front before the come to take your order , once they take your order , count your blessings if you get your drinks before your meal . While your food is getting cold before they bring it they are busy having friendly conversations by the front door . Never mind that you still don’t have a drink and once you get a drink Forget, asking for refills because you will not get any . Don’t ask for salsa because they will forget . And the waitress attitude is disgusting to say the least … Uggghhhh sadly disappointed. I was so excited about this place and kept thinking , it’s just a bad day for the server. After the 4th incident with 2 different servers . Count Me Out, Ive been going to ā€œOur Place Restaurant ā€œ in Mansfield and Gladly waiting 45 minutes . Great Customer Service is key! Previous Review I refuse to waist my tastebuds at Restaurant chains like IHOP, Dennys , ect If your a breakfast fan like I am , the secret is Mom & Pop breakfast establishments. In the past 20 years I’ve tried many across the metroplex & my 2 fav as of recent where ā€œ Our Place Restaurant in Mansfield ā€œ & ā€œJackie's Ham & Eggs in Lewisvilleā€ As of today ā€œThe Porchā€ is my absolute #1 fav. šŸ˜šŸ˜šŸ˜ From the minute I walked in the door , to getting a table , ordering & receiving my breakfast … ā€œunder 10 minutesā€ (Yes they where busy) Their food is unbelievably delicious , the thick bacon, eggs cooked to perfection , their pancakes melt in your mouth . mmmmm Wow Wow Wow Arlington’s best kept Secret . Walking in the place was promptly greeted and seated. The server came by pretty quick and was very attentive. First order... Guacamole toast, with marbled rye I think. Guac had decent flavor but was not fresh considering it was 930am. Home fries are just pre-frozen cubes most lower tier restaurants serve. I feel they could have put in the effort for true home fries. Second order... Greek omelette, had feta but was pretty bland, everything needed salt. Grits were okay, lots of butter. Sourdough toast was passable. The side of bacon was well done if you like it like that. Third plate... Chicken fried steak with eggs over easy. CFS was thick making it tough to eat, maybe beat it a bit. Gravy was decent with a good flavor with minimal sausage. Overall the place was just okay it seems as though there is plenty of potential. Almost forgot, biscuits were the best part. Little butter little jelly and you set. That would have been a better meal.

This was my first visit to the Arlington location, but since I love the Mansfield but live close to the Arlington location, I decided to give it a try. I must say, I was not disappointed. First, we (I was accompanied by my aunt) were met at the door by a very nice gentleman who seated us in the attractively decorated, spacious dining area. Then a very pleasant waitress came by and took our order. The food arrived in a timely manner and was attractively presented and delicious. My blt might have had double bacon on it, and my aunt's veggie omelet looked amazing. If I had to make a complaint, it would be that they don't have Coke in the soda fountain. This may well be my current new favorite eatery.

I've wanted to try this restaurant since I passed it last year while it was still under construction. I love eating at breakfast places, and between what friends have told me and the reviews here on Yelp this place seemed like my kind of restaurant. The only reason I hadn't made it in sooner was because I live on the opposite corner of the city. I had to wait for a day I was reasonably close by. That finally happened the morning of Friday, May 7.

Unfortunately, I never got to eat any of the food. Or even place my order for that matter.

I walked in a few minutes before 9:30am and was greeted right away. They were only seating customers in the front section of the restaurant, so I had to wait for the one open booth to be cleared off and wiped down. No problem there. They told me what they were doing and, once it was cleaned off, showed me to the table.

And that was the last time any employee talked to me.

It takes me a little while to look over a breakfast menu and decide what I want to eat. Do I want biscuits and gravy? What about a waffle? The burrito looked tempting. And then there was the Monte Carlo. I've never had one of those for breakfast before.

Once I figured out what I wanted, I looked at my watch. Six minutes had passed since I had been seated, and no one had come over to my table. No greeting, no "I'll be right with you," no nothing. I had seen exactly one server after I had been seated, who had taken the order of the table next to mine. She didn't say a word to me when she approached that table or when she left it.

I gave it a couple more minutes. The same server went up to another table in the opposite forward section from the one I was sitting in. I'm not sure what she was doing at the table (I couldn't hear what they were talking about). I looked towards the register to see if I could get anyone's attention, but no one was there.

While I don't mind waiting, I do mind being ignored. With no way to get anyone's attention, I had no choice but to leave without getting a chance to...

First, I found this restaurant on a Google search because I woke up Saturday morning and was craving French Toast. I live in Forest Hill and your restaurant came up as the second choice on Google. I had already tried the first choice, which is less than 5 minutes from my house…..it was a poor decision. (They are horrible!!)

Second, I am a foodie and will drive for some good food!! Babeeeeeeeee…..this place is worth the drive!! The entire atmosphere is so welcoming that I completely forgot that I was in Texas! (This state is racist). The smell of what is coming from the kitchen will take you to grandmamas house, down in the country…..truly a blessing!!

Third, I had 3 people, besides the young man who served me, who went out of their way to speak to me and welcome me to their restaurant. Even other customers were speaking to me and that just made my day and this was before I even ordered food.

Fourth, as a gay man, I look for restaurants that have ā€œthe vibeā€ when it comes to the community. Right away, I saw my community and they were smiling!! Now……you know I have to tell the rest of the community to come and support!!

Fifth, and finally……let’s talk about the food!!! I have 4 words that truly will sound better than most sex!! ā€œBlueberry Muffin French Toastā€ā€¦ā€¦ā€¦yes, this is where you clutch your pearls!!! I sat at home in shame and delight…..all at the same damn time! Total genius whoever put those items together! I am going back and I know my personal trainer is gonna have HUGE issues…..but hell, I pay him, not the other way around! I need to know if they serve grits….if not, ADD IT!!šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚

I will keep you posted on the wonder of this...
