We came here last night 12/12/24 to celebrate our 10 year anniversary and I am so happy we did. We had been eyeing it for months so decided to give it a try. We only took a few pictures because we were just enjoying the evening. I wish I would have taken more just to show how amazing everything looked. This place is underhyped. I did not come with high expectations but I was pleasantly surprised with how wonderful everything and everyone was. Parking: We were unsure where to park so we had to call. It is mostly street parking or parking at the grocery mart across the street.
Atmosphere: Absolutely unmatched. I know, I know but hear me out. It is a very chilled place. It is so cozy. We had a reservation for 5. They had us a cozy little table with a Happy Anniversary Card, there was no "rushed" feeling. My husband struggles with social anxiety and gets very anxious in lots of restaurants but the vibe here is so relaxed. The waiters, waitresses are so kind, thoughtful and honestly HILARIOUS. We had the best time talking and joking with them. Everyone we came into contact with had a smile. It was really nice to see individuals enjoy the place they work at. They were very accommodating finding things to match our drink selection. That was a huge plus!
Waitress: Our waitress was a wonderful lady named Sharon. I absolutely recommend her!! She was funny, sweet, accommodating, checked on you without hovering. She is one of the best I have come across in a long while and it was refreshing to have a waitress who obviously enjoys her work and her customers. We were undecided on the wine selection because they did not have Malbec or Riesling on the menu. Her and the bartender got us some samples to taste. By the way we LOVED the bartender as well. He was so helpful answering some of my husbands questions. They assisted us finding wine we would both enjoy.
Food: Simply put - AMAZING. The prices for the food was honestly really great with the amount of seafood you get. We ordered the Crawfish Ravioli and Crawfish cornbread for appetizers. Insanely delicious! Both were amazing but that Crawfish cornbread is on a different level!! Wedge Salad before the entrée, we are super picky about Blue Cheese dressing and crumbles. Very impressed with the house selection they use for this!! Crazy good! Entree's - We order the New York Strip with a seafood stack on top of it. (Surf N Turf) They cooked my husbands steak to perfection! It was seasoned great and the amount of seafood you get is like WOW, and it was sitting on bacon mashed potatoes. We also ordered the Sautéed Seafood Tower (AMAZING) and it comes with a side of coleslaw. I don't enjoy coleslaw very often. I have no idea what they do to this but it was the best I have ever tasted. I actually ate a few bites, my husband LOVES coleslaw and was in heaven. We also ordered a Cracklin Dusted Mac & Cheese Burger to bring home to our youngest son. He LOVED it. For dessert we shared a Blueberry Bread pudding. LIKE WHOAAAA Phenomenal dessert!!
We had LOTS of leftovers because the portions for some of the food is a lot, our waitress packed everything for us.
Thank you so much to everyone who made our evening wonderful and memorable! We without a doubt will be back and we will recommend you to...
Read moreTo start, we drove in from out of town to try this particular meal (Surf & Turf with the New York Strip topped with crab meat, crawfish and shrimp over mashed potatoes). This was the meal that was served to us. It’s obvious the portion size is way off, and the manager did make it right by adding more toppings, but the steak had no flavor and the mashed potatoes tasted like playdoh.
Not only was the meal disappointing, the entire experience was. We were sat down about 15minutes after the start of our reservation and had to wait about 10 more minutes to get high chairs for the kids, which I stated to them when I made the reservation that high chairs will be needed. The server did a horrible “greet” by just setting appetizer plates down and walking away. She was clearly in the weeds because she was sat 3 different tables at the same time. So their seating policy needs to change. Finally about 30 minutes of being sat we placed our drink order, kids orders, and two appetizers. (Which our appetizers and kids meals only came out a few minutes before the entrees came out).We got the Cochon de Lait Fries and it seemed to be soggy fries sitting in juice from the pulled pork, I did love the couple pieces of pickled onions though. We also got the chicken and sausage gumbo for our son, and that was delicious! We ordered our entrees. I ordered the Surf and Turf & my husband ordered just a Ribeye. About an hour and an half after the start of our reservation, we finally received our meals. I at first thought I ordered incorrectly because what I received was not what I drove in for. My husband never received the side salad with his, until he had asked the server for it after we received our meals. We spoke to our server about the meal I received and she had the manager come out to speak with us. The manager was very understanding and took the entree back to add the correct portion of toppings. The meal came back and by this time it wasn’t even hot anymore (which I did order it medium rare & we were sitting outside, so it would’ve gotten cold somewhat quickly either way). When I took a bite of this steak, it tasted like char and had zero flavor like it wasn’t even seasoned at all. The mashed potatoes were terrible and dry as well. All I could really do is just laugh in disappointment. After dinner we wanted desert and had to wait for our server to come to the table. When she did we asked for a desert menu, and she just stated they only had bread pudding and cheesecake and then she just turned and walked away. We were all dumbfounded because we were still wanting to order a desert. She finally came back and we all ordered the cookie cheesecake Togo. The desert was very delicious.
All in all, I would not recommend this place. I’m usually not one to complain because I understand everyone is human and can have an off night. I was even told when making the reservation that our “reservation time” is only for an hour and a half. Which I completely understand that to have a high turnover rate, but they couldn’t even give the proper service to have turn over rate like that.
I was going to leave a Facebook review as well since that is how we discovered this place, but there isn’t even an option to leave a...
Read moreI had tried this restaurant a few months and had bad service, we received the wrong appetizer, was told there were no specials when there were and wrote a review then. I did receive a call from the manager offering free appetizers and dessert but didn't take her up offering. We decided to go back for my 50th birthday this past Saturday with some friends. It did not start out very well. We had a reservation for 7:00pm and arrived a few minutes early. There were a crowd of people waiting at the host stand but no hostess. It took over 10 minutes for the young girl to finally get to the front to even start checking guests in. We were finally seated and absolutely starving, and my blood sugar was going low too. We ordered drinks and appetizers. Finally got our drinks and waited awhile for our appetizers. Once they arrived the appraisers looked great but were not hot at all, more room temperature at best. Seems there was only one person running food which might explain that, but one runner on a Saturday is not a good idea. We ate and ordered our entrees and really looking forward to our meal. Once we finally got our food I was very disappointed to say the least. I ordered the stuffed ribeye that was suppose to be hand cut, this steak looked like a $5.00 thin cut ribeye special. No fat was trimmed off the side, which I know ribeye is the fattest steak but this thing was ridiculous. I had the cut more then half the steak weight off, which should have been when it was hand cut in the first place. I don't understand how this steak was seen to be OK to serve by the cook but especially the expo once it was put up to run to the table. I have included a picture to show how horrible it was. Then my guests fish was so over cooked and pure rubbery she could not eat it at all.it also was suppose to come with fried eggplant and oysters and had none, only a fried green tomato. It looked like it was forgotten about but still served to the table along with the steak. I don't understand how the cooks, expo and manager allowed this to happen. The waitress say all the fat on my plate and that my guest didn't touch her fish bc it was so burnt and didn't say a word and just brought the check. Also, if the manager would have done a table visit this could have solved this problem. The first visit was poor service and this time it was the food, service and operations. I am not one to complain but for $125 ticket for 2 and another, I guess, $100 for our guests, this was embarrassing to say the least. I don't think I will ever be able to give the place another try to redeem the problems. This entire meal should have been comped to try and make up for the horrible food and service. I would suggest, not that it will go anywhere, but have the cooks take some pride in their work as the food represents your restaurant and have an expo not afraid to say redo a dish bc it looks horrible, servers that take notice and alert a manager when the food is not eaten that there is probably a problem with it. I hope others experience is better than my two and can enjoy their meal...
