If you want classic carbohydrate dense Mid-West comfort food cuisine, look no further. This Amish buffet has all the comfort food favorites. Start with the homemade bread that's offered. Go ahead try the apple butter and Amish peanut butter.
The salad bar had fresh items including sweet pickled beets. The Amish homemade salad dressing is very good. Each dish item on the hot side of the buffet is simple, yet extremely flavorful. I liked the barbecue baked beans, they were smokey and hearty. I saw mountains of fluffy mashed potatoes and gravy on plates all around me, but I passed and went for a taste of the bread casserole instead. Chicken and egg noodles is a must try. In my opinion, by far the best egg noodles I have ever had. The noodle had a great chicken flavor and the texture of the egg needle was sturdy. I enjoyed them very much. The fried chicken was so moist and juicy. It's been a while since I have had chicken that good. There were fried fish fillets that smelled and looked amazing as well pot roast. I will have to do a follow up on another visit. Yoder's kitchen also has a store to browse while waiting for a table. The waits can be long, ( we waited 30 min) but the food is worth the wait. You can try the peanut butter and apple butter on the bread at the table before you buy any. The staff is kind and work hard as they are constantly stocking the buffet, cleaning and serving customers, the food is always fresh. We...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of using Yoder's catering services for a special event, and I must say, it was an experience worth praising. From the moment we reached out to Daren and his team, they displayed exceptional care and professionalism throughout the entire process.
First and foremost, let's talk about the food. Oh my, it was simply DELICIOUS! Every bite was a flavor explosion that left our taste buds dancing with delight. We chose the three entrees and four sides for our event and every option left everyone satisfied and impressed. Our guests were still talking about the dinner well after the plates were cleared.
In addition to the outstanding quality of the food, the prices offered by Yoder's were comparable to others in the area. It's refreshing to find a catering service that not only delivers on taste but also provides excellent value for money.
And if all of that was not enough, we were impressed by the fact that despite our location being over 40 miles away from the restaurant, the food arrived promptly and was still piping hot, as if it had just been prepared in the restaurant kitchen. This level of attention to detail and dedication to maintaining the quality of their food truly sets Yoder's apart.
I highly recommend Yoder's for catering and will be a...
Read moreYoder's kitchen is a very personable restaurant. You can choose from a buffet line or order from the menu. The buffet had a variety of salad bar items as well as warm food options. There is also a small dessert bar, soup section, and an ice cream station. If you watch their specials, they also run all you can eat nights. We enjoy going when they have the all you can eat prime rib buffet. This restaurant is also kid friendly with a number of rooms you can be seated in so that you don't have to worry about the kids bothering other customers.
Along with the restaurant, there is a very neat shop. You can find all kinds of items in it including fresh baked Amish goods. There is also a section that offers boutique style clothing at a very reasonable price. You can also find rare decorations, bags, purses, jewelry, and much much more. They have a side room that offers small toys for children as well as a small selection of children's clothing. Be sure to ask where the clearance is located so that you don't miss out on a great deal.
Sometimes you can also find special events at Yoder's Kitchen. They recently had free buggy rides for the kids. This restaurant is liked all around by our family and we visit it on a regular basis. We would definitely recommend it to others interested...
