I wouldn't reccomend eating at this establishment if you're expecting courteous customer service. I called in an order of four meals for pick up and after arriving I had to sit in the back for 15 minutes after paying, before receiving my order. When I returned home I noticed that one of my meals was missing from the order. I called before returning and remained polite while asking to be properly compensated for having to return. The manager expressed that there wasn't much she could do but she would take care of me when I returned. When I returned to the drive thru I was offered a half gallon of tea which I already purchased with my meal so I respectfully declined and asked for the manager. She was very sharp, short, and rude with me. She didn't seem to want to speak with me at all. She said all she could do was three dollars for gas because that's all "they" will let her do. I don't know who "they" are but I accepted the three dollars and waited for them to make the missing meal. When I returned home my family noticed that salads were missing for two meals. I was not confident in the customer service I would receive if I tried to return again and fix this issue so I reluctantly let it go. What I am confident in is that I will not return to American roadhouse in Asheboro NC on Fayetteville street. I understand these are crazy times but this shouldn't cause this establishment's manager to take her anger and frustration out on customers while not meeting basic customer needs. The employee who took payment for my order was very kind but the manager was completely rude and not...
Read moreHave had many many meals from this place for a long time now but not anymore.
Most of the food is overpriced for what you get and not very good quality.
The seafood meals are usually okay but very overpriced for the quality and what you get (AND that's if you receive everything you ordered)
The tiny popcorn shrimp is overpriced as it basically almost all breading. Literally.
The OYSTER MEALS (which I've had way too many time, SO I KNOW) are SUPER OVERPRICED. The actual oysters are VERY small and heavily breaded, so much breading that's almost all you taste.
7.99 OYSTER STEW with few oysters. More like soup, there's nothing 'Stew' about it. Also the worst "oyster stew" I've ever had. So from that I'd never even consider trying any other soups from there.
MOST of time you can't go wrong with the burgers and chicken meals but those are overpriced as well, especially the chicken but they are good.
They're are meals that are fair and fine, but not worth adding to all this. Not trying to write an article here.
Almost evertime I've got something from here it feels like I've got ripped-off. The high prices of this place do not stand for quality or quantity. It is not...
Read moreWas recommended this place and was clearly told it was a hole in the wall spot. They didn't lie. I had a feeling looks didn't mean taste. Walked in and placed an order at the counter and they give you a pager when your food is ready for you to come get it. Everything is self service even drink refills. Let's get to the Best Food Ever Experience part. OH my God... Seafood Combo was fresh, season just right, plentiful, and just damn GOOD. I love visiting restaurants like this. Just old fashion cooking. No thrills, no fancy plate mats, not bothered by anyone, and just enjoy the food. I've traveled around the state and by far the best place I'll ever eaten Seafood. I'm from Winston-Salem and WILL BE DRIVING HERE FOR MY SEAFOOD CRAVINGS. Lastly they posted DON'T TIP around the sitting area... So when I'm ready to go I feel like I have to give something. But I realized the cost of the meal which was a little high but considering what I had it was just perfect and I could see why to accommodate their staff cleaning up behind us. Best Hole In The Wall...
