What a gem! The Sandbar in Ashland is an absolute delight. Nestled right by the lake, it offers a gorgeous view that pairs perfectly with your coffee or cocktail. We visited on a sunny day and took full advantage of their amazing outdoor seating—it’s the kind of spot you could easily spend hours at.

The ambiance is warm and inviting, whether you’re stopping in for a morning coffee, grabbing lunch, or winding down with a drink in the evening. It’s rare to find a place that nails all three, but The Sandbar truly does.

We started with their specialty drink (highly recommend—it was delicious) and a spinach and cheese pastry that was flavorful and fresh. I also tried their Old Fashioned, and it was well-balanced and smooth.

For food, we went with the YORK sandwich—Italian salami, turkey, and ham—and it was packed with flavor. We also tried a focaccia sandwich with a sausage on the side, and both were excellent.

From the friendly service to the quality of food and drinks, we loved everything about this place. Whether you’re a local or just passing through, make sure to stop by The Sandbar—you...

We will always stop here when heading up the shore line and on the way back. The drinks are always amazing and the sandwiches are so filling. The layout of the place is amazing. You can sit downstairs and view the ice heaves in the winter (or the waves in warmer temps) or sit upstairs and see for miles. We’ve met a very interesting fellow here once and it was such a comfortable place to hear him talk about his life over coffee. We were in the upstairs room with the glass all around. Honestly, one conversation and coffee I won’t forget. Those who are staying in the Inn portion are lucky to have coffee right downstairs. Hopefully one day, my fiancé and I are able to stay here for a couple of days and just sip on coffee &...

Got the big pretzel (just ok, wish it came with cheese instead of mustard, it's also way too big for one person-I had to toss 1/3 of it) and I asked if she could make me a lavender lemonade. she did and it was delicious! The next morning I got a scone and a muffin before my 3 hour drive home. The scone was good but the muffin was very dry. I tossed most of it. I noticed they were the same ones that were in the case yesterday (this was around 8:15 a.m.) Not worth $3 for each one. That being said, the shop is cute and all the girls working...
