We were going through Ashton and decided to stop at The Huddle. The parking appears to be street side, but it was plentiful even during business hours in the middle of the week. The access was via a ramp. However, you do have to be able to open the doors yourself. We were there late morning, and there were not a lot of people in there, so the seating was plentiful. The people who were there appeared to be regulars, and everyone, including the server, was very friendly. There is a board with several specials of the day and 2 different soups, which was welcome on this damp chilly day. One of us ordered a BBQ Pulled Pork Sandwich with onion rings (which was on the specials list), and the other ordered a bacon cheeseburger and fries extra crisp both ordering vegetable beef soup. Sorry guys but I didn't have a...

It's the same little downtown eatery we all flocked to half a century ago, and the food and service are just as comfortable. Good soups, usually included with your entree. Daily specials, Senior savings selections, peppermint ice cream . . . . The only caveat might be that it's pretty noisy, not a quiet spot to reflect and have important conversations, at least during busy meal times. There is a separate room that can offer a bit more sedate experience. Just stop on in and enjoy...
