Doc's on 23 — Restaurant in Askov

We stopped in here last Sunday and we were really happy with the food and service. We have drove by what seems like a hundred times but hadn't stopped in. Well Im glad we did, super clean restrooms, tables were not sticky, beef brisket was fantastic, and the beer glasses were clean! We sat outside for a bit and notice the perfectly maintained horse shoe pits, and the softball field looked like a professional took care of it. We than noticed one of the waitresses cleaning the windows outside with windex! I haven't seen that for a good long time - the owners/ staff seem to take great pride in this establishment. My wife and I will visit again over the summer and fall, and will report back if anything...

It's ok... 2 of us for dinner. Pretzel sticks for an app, which were good. One pepper burger with jo-jo potatoes and one walleye sandwich with seasoned french fries. The burger was ok, the jo-jo's were really good, the walleye sandwich was really bland and the fries were really good. The sandwich didn't come with any tartar sauce, so we had to go to the bar and ask for some. Our server seemed like she was pretty new to the handheld ordering device as she had a hard time finding what we were ordering on it. She was attentive but not intrusive, which was nice. VERY SLOW SERVICE CONSIDERING THE RESTAURANT WAS ALMOST EMPTY. I HAD THE WALLEYE DINNER. THE LOADED POTATO WAS A BAKED POTATO, CUT IN HALF, CHEESE ( ? ) AND BACON BITS BETWEEN THE TWO HALVES. THE VEGETABLES WERE PREVIOUSLY FROZEN. THE WALLEYE TASTED LIKE WALLEYE WITH LOTS OF BONES AND NO BREADING. MY WIFE HAD THE SHRIMP DINNER. SHE STATED THE SHRIMP TASTED VERY STRONG OF FISH.
