Third time here but this time was really disturbing. The hostess who was middle aged, black hair pulled up with glasses on, was really rude when I was checking out. I always tip with cash and always tip way over 25%+. I was checking out and had to use my card. I had to manually write in the tip on the receipt which I thought was good and she yelled out the tip amount in discust. Caught me off guard. I said yes that's what I am giving. When I got in the car my kid said why did she yell out how much you gave for a tip like that? I was really bothered by this. Looking back she was even off when we came in. So when I got home I told my husband what happened, he said it sounded like the hostess was trying to shame you for only giving 20%. Okay first time with a card, thought I gave 25% but that's beside the point. Noone should ever be embarrassed like that. I was a server/hostess and would never think of putting any customer in an awkward spot and/or situation...we all have bad days but a customer's happiness always comes first. This ruined a perfect outting with my kid who just had surgery and it was her first time out. Not sure I...

was really craving breakfast today and it’s my birthday so we went to this place that my best friend‘s mom recommended she’s never been but she’s always wanted to go. The service was honestly so heartbreaking because she didn’t pay much attention to me, but was primarily focusing on my friend who is white (I am a person of color ). The food was pretty OK but the potatoes had no flavor whatsoever so as soon as I asked the waitress to remove that from the bill, she had a little bit of an attitude and proceeded to talk about me right behind me. That was next level disrespect, especially considering the fact I was right there. When we got the bill, we realize she didn’t ask us if we went at the short or full versions of the plates we asked for and charged us for the most expensive ones. I just wanted the short one because I wasn’t that hungry but in the end, she just argued with us and tried to walk it through like we were little kids even though we understood what was happening. She just charged us for the wrong sizes. I will never be coming back to this place. It’s very disappointing to have high expectations and...

My wife and I eat breakfast here often. The waitresses are cheerful and friendly, the food is always great and the service is fast. Sometimes we have to wait a bit for seating, but it is well worth the wait. The prices are reasonable and the servings are generous. Often times we end up taking half our meal home. We have had family brunches there on occasion (Our adult children and their children love it as well) and they have always been able to accommodate us. On those days we call ahead for reservations and they pull tables together and hold them for us. Today is a holiday and we are headed over for breakfast. Their omelets alone are worth a visit as are their varied chipped beef or sausage gravy with biscuits/toast platters. Their pancakes are great too. Give T&C a try. You will be...

Towne & Country Cafe is a special place, staffed by special people. Housed in a charming, cozy former house just off Concord Road, it offers plenty of seating, endless good vibes, and INCREDIBLE food. I am particularly fond of their eggs, bacon, and sausage. Excellent portions at fair prices. A discount if you pay in cash. The people here are amazing also, especially Mackenzie. Check it out!!!

Nowadays, it is as much about the service as about the food. The wait staff here are kind. They know their menu well and they are happy to make recommendations. Where the food was average the waitresses were above. Skip the hash browns. Definitely go for an omelette. There’s far more flavor with the mix of veggies and meat you can get. And yes, they have turkey sausage and turkey bacon.
