Disappointing Experience at Starbucks on El Camino Real, Atascadero

I’ve been a loyal Starbucks customer for years, but my recent visit to the El Camino Real location in Atascadero was disappointing, to say the least. The customer service was abysmal, and the overall experience left much to be desired.

Firstly, the wait time was excessive. It was clear that the staff prioritized Drive-Thru orders, leaving in-store customers like myself feeling neglected. My simple espresso order took far longer than it should have, and I could see order after order going out the drive-through window. Howie

When I politely asked for cream and sugar for my espresso, I was met with rudeness. Apparently, this location no longer provides these items in a self-serve manner, which is both strange and inconvenient. Instead, the staff insisted on pouring the cream themselves and proceeded to pour nearly half a cup into my espresso, completely ruining it. When I asked them to remake the drink, they became visibly upset and acted as though I was being unreasonable.

It’s disappointing to see this level of poor service from a brand that prides itself on customer satisfaction. I hope they address these issues and improve both their in-store service, employee training, and the attitude of their employees. Until then, I’ll be reconsidering my visits to...

Went through the drive through and ordered a drink and almond croissant. It wasn't a big deal but they got the drink size wrong, so I asked them to fix it and the gal wasn't super friendly about it. As I'm driving away I realize they charged me for an almond croissant but gave me a regular. So I parked and went inside to let them know. I went inside and let the guy know I ordered an almond and he seemed very annoyed and said, "yeah we don't have almond croissants." And I explained to him that I paid for almond (which is usually more expensive) and so he offered me a refund, which I took- but I feel like the customer service could have been much more friendly (and maybe somewhat apologetic?) My drinks was good, customer service was good until I came back to request a knife the girl was staring at me not happy... .. ???🤔... she was dumb enough to say that they only have plastic knives...
