We actually live nearby but a girlfriend of mine had points to use, and we wanted to spend the weekend with the kids at the pool. She booked us two separate rooms but we had the adjoining door in the middle. Even without the points, she told me how much a room would have regularly cost, and I was so surprised at how reasonable it was because the rooms were great. Her room was the larger, more like a small suite. View was great, had a lot of space, a separate sitting area with a tv, and a desk. My connecting room was a tad smaller but still very nice. Sheets seemed very clean, view was more of the hotel roof, but still not bad. Bathroom was clean, and AC worked very well. We got dinner and free continental breakfast at the in-house restaurant. Drinks were great and so was the food. I will say the lounge chairs they have just outside the restaurant seating are absolutely ridiculous. They’re oversized, but swivel. It was the only seating left when we got there for breakfast and we almost ate the floor a few times tripping over those dang chairs! 😂 We used the pool several times. We were “those people” with the loud obnoxious kids but no one seemed to mind at all. The pool is a little on the smaller side, but I liked that so the kids could easily get back to the shallow end if needed. There’s also a nice grassy area with string lights, yard games, and fire pits. The kids had a wonderful time doing s’mores over the fire and having pillow fights in the grass. I’m not usually the type to let my kids run around so much but everyone was so nice and didn’t seem bothered by it. It felt like a very family-friendly hotel. We’ve already agreed that we’ll be returning!

This is the nicest Springhill Suites we’ve ever stayed at! Starting with check-in, the man Russ (or Ross, it was a little loud and he didn’t have a name-tag on) that checked us in was so kind and helpful! The lobby and seating areas is really nice and spacious. Everything was very clean. The rooms were very clean and spacious as well. I really prefer the toilet/ shower split options, that’s a nice option to have when traveling with family! The gym was great for a hotel gym. Nice equipment options, a few nice machines and a good selection of weights. It was very clean! The coolest part of this hotel is the back patio. The view is beautiful, it was the Percy place to sit and watch the sunrise come up over the vineyard. I would imagine that it would be a nice place to have a drink at the end of the day. They had a nice breakfast selection from what it looked like, but I didn’t eat, I only grabbed a banana. We would definitely chose to stay here again given the option!

My boyfriend got accepted into an academy this year and it has been his dream since he was a kid. You can only imagine how excited I am for him because this is life changing and he is so deserving of this opportunity.

I immediately knew that I wanted to do a little surprise get away for him. I was looking at different locations and for some reason it did not work out. The reason it did not work out was because we were meant to come to Paso Robles!! I am glad I stumbled across this location and that I found this incredible hotel on line.

I wanted nothing more than to make this trip special and the staff at Springhill went above and beyond for us. I reached out to the front desk and asked if it was possible that I can have the room decorated. The front desk directed me to Marcus!! Marcus, is the MAN!! Seriously, from our first conversation he was so on board to help me with my surprise. I let him know that I wanted to order some decorations from Amazon and have them shipped to the hotel so the staff would have access to them before our arrival. Marcus was so patient and understanding with me. This was the first time I ever planned a bedroom decor at a hotel and this was the best experience! I had no worries or concerns because I felt so taken care of. He and the rest of the staff assured me that everything was gonna go great and it did.

I was also in contact with Gabby who was so kind. I called asking if it was possible to purchase a champagne bottle and chocolate covered strawberries and she let me know I can purchase that and have it added to our room. I also asked if there could be a little memo written on a card and it was written perfectly.

The day of check in I was super excited to surprise him because he had no idea! I called that morning and I forgot who I spoke with, but she was so also so so kind! She was aware of the surprise and told me that everything was going great that she was gonna be the one to actually go and decorate the room before our arrival. Later, Marcus checked us in that afternoon. My boyfriend was beyond surprised to say the least. He was in love with everything & he had no idea I had this set up for him. He was seriously taken back by all the details and his favorite part was the chocolate covered strawberries!! They were delicious and the room was so romantic and beautiful. We spent so much time taking videos and pictures because we wanted to cherish every detail.

thank you to every one...

The hotel was nice looking and is pretty big butwe had a horrible experience with service and is primarily reason I provide a 2 star rating

  1. Front Desk - we checked in very late but the front desk staff there was not friendly. I asked a few questions but she was not very keen on answering my questions and maybe becasue it was late night (past 1:00 am). However that did not leave me with a good feeling

  2. Hotel facility - nice clean facility and pretty big. Outside area was very nice albeit we were only there for 1 night so did not get to experience

  3. Breakfast - this was probably one of the worst breakfast experiences in my entire life , primarily from a service perspective. We got to breakfast at about 8 am and breakfast was supposed to be until 9 am.

The oatmeal container was empty ; when we asked the person to get oatmeal, she said rudely there is no more oatmeal as it is all finished. Really at 8 am it is all finished and she couldn't make add'l oatmeal when there is another hour left for breakfast and there were still many people walking in to eat

I went to get Tea but there was no hot water. I asked them to bring hot water and it took them more than 10 minutes to bring hot water. They had the same issue with coffee where guests were waiting for one of the coffee urns to be filled.

Fruit - they ran out of bananas and cut fruit and said they did not have any additional. Again by 8 am and we were not the only ones asking for it? I would think based on the number of rooms booked and people, the breakfast manager would know how much to make and stock

Bread - limited types and I got the feeling some of them were out of stock

Isn't the staff supposed to continuously check the coffee, hot water and other food items and ensure it is stocked . Why do customers have to ask and then wait a long time to get it

Overall breakfast staff was not helpful and at times rude. I don't think I heard anyone apologize that day and there definitely was no "service with a smile". It was more like "service with a groan"

As a vegetarian , we cant eat many of the hot food items as they are primarily meat (sausages or bacon) so rely on fruit, oatmeal, bread, yoghurt, etc to start the day and when something like this happens , it really turns one off. Unfortunately, just because of the breakfast service, I would lend towards not recommending the hotel. Shame as the hotel is...

I have always used this hotel for work but have now moved to the Courtyard in San Luis Obispo where the front desk service was more friendly, approachable, and staff actually smiled and felt welcoming. I am used to interacting with a woman with dark hair that always has the cutest dangly earrings but she was helping someone else when I entered. This man had a very negative smug look on his face and his voice and expression never changes or warmed up as he checked me in. He made some very prejudice and unprofessional remarks. They hired a new guy from Canada and he should be somewhere else maybe answering phones but not dealing with customers face to face. He needs to work on interpersonal/intrapersonal relationships with people because he def wasn’t a people person. Guests expect professionalism, respect, and courtesy, especially at the first point of contact. My very negative interaction has lost me as a repeat customers and tarnished this location for me. I have been a Marriott member 16 years and I am Titanium Elite. The pool is supposed to be heated and it’s not heated and it was out of service when I last visited. I told him the room I previously had and asked could I get a similar room and then he had a full floor to choose from and he told me I wouldn’t like that one then put me in one that was super dark with a back view on the side of the hotel and I requested a different one since darkness and cold activates my arthritis from a former surgery and he put me in the same room down a side hallway just on the other side of the floor. Also, you know how the tv says your name during your stay? It said two different peoples names and I asked to get this fix he said oh the cable went out and we had tech issues. How frustrating, irritating, and unwelcoming to have your Marriott tv not even acknowledge you during a half week stay smh. That’s my favorite part about being back in the room. I left a note for the manager, called him and left a message, and he never called me back. He emailed me I think a week later and just said sorry, he would ask about what happened, and that was it- talk about dissatisfied, disappointed and under whelmed. My aunt told me there are some private owned Marriotts and the staff don’t dress nice, aren’t professional , and the customer service is below Marriott standards- and she was...
