Tent City Beer Company — Restaurant in Atascadero

Tent City is offering up the best beers in San Luis Obispo County. I know what I said. I’m well aware of Firestone and SLO Brew and Central Coast Brewing (and others). They make phenomenal beers. One of them is my favorite beer. But Tent City consistently delivers beers that are true to style while at the same giving flavors that are complex and memorable. They are the type of beers that speak for themselves - no hype needed, no additional flavors irresponsibly added in, no marketing scheme. Just that quiet beer that once you get to know rewards you for discovering it. And all of their beers are like this. True to style, yet unique to Tent City. If I had to pick a favorite, it would be their Red. Hands down, the best Red ale I’ve ever had, and when I give it to my friends that are beer knowledgeable, they readily agree.

Fun little space in downtown Atascadero. My favorite time to go is afternoon or early evening. It’s less crowded, and I feel I can enjoy my beers a little more (weekend nights can get crowded and noisy).

I typically really like this place. Their beer is great, and I'm sold on a place that has a shuffle board.

Right now they are not taking COVID seriously. When the inside is packed, nobody is wearing a mask including the bar tender who snickered when he saw us with masks on.
