Waffle House — Restaurant in Athens-Clarke County Unified Government

I wouldn’t even give it 1 but you have to. I pulled in one night following some people I haven’t seen in a while to buy them breakfast because they don’t have a lot of money and have done some work for me. After we went in and got our food to go tip the lady very well we come out to parking lot only to be blocked off by the police. I asked in confusion what was going on as the police man walked into Waffle House brought out the same lady that waiting on us telling me and the people I was with that we were banned. I asked for what she said we left a scene. A scene of what? Only after the girl I went in with was arrested I found out that A CIVIL MATTER THAT DID NOT INVOLVE THEM BUT THE GIRL THAT WAS WITH ME’S ROOMATE which WAS NOT ACTUALLY A SCENE!!!!! My bf and I eat Waffle House frequently and I’ve never had an experience that wasn’t good until I came here. 12/3/21 about 1245am . From the jump the customer service was very poor, I usually wouldn’t even be making a review but the see the lady give us poor customer service and turn around and give the group of people that walked in behind us great customer service was completely beyond me. I was baffled. So as I’m ordering the food the lady tells me they are out of grits, so it’s cool I order something else. The cook burnt the food! Like no cap I wasn’t pleased at all! Only thing on my plate that was worth anything was the waffle. And y’all I was hungry fr! I’m not a confrontational person at all so I had to come make this review because I’ve honestly never had an experience at Waffle House like this! I will not be going back...

Been comming to this same waffle house for years. Amazing people here great food and fast service. Some of these people on here keep saying the waitress tells them to call back in five mins. Yeah ive witnessed this myself but they fail to say why they say that. They call not knowing what they want and then they have to go ask everybody else what they want. While they get very busy after the bars close nobody wants to be on the phone talking to a bunch of drunk college kids. Yall this location is a great place to go.
