Bird's Nest Cafè — Restaurant in Athens

From the moment I walked into Birdsall Cafe, I was warmly greeted by Elizabeth and the rest of the friendly staff. The place smelled incredible, and the tasteful decor added to the cozy, inviting atmosphere.

I started with a snickerdoodle cookie, which was perfection—crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside. Though I’m not a huge coffee drinker, my wife is, and after telling Elizabeth to surprise her (no fruit flavors, please), she was served a caramel coffee that she absolutely loved! For myself, Elizabeth suggested a sweet iced tea, which turned out to be spot on—refreshing and perfectly brewed.

During our visit, Ashley also came out to chat with us, and her hospitality and friendliness made the experience even better. We felt so welcomed!

We then indulged in a slice of blueberry cheesecake, and it was simply delectable. After treating ourselves to dessert first, we ordered a few breakfast sandwiches, and they did not disappoint—warm, flavorful, and well-made.

One of the standout aspects of Birdsall Cafe is their range of options. They offer gluten-free, dairy-free, and sugar-free alternatives, plus homemade syrups and gluten-free bagels. The friendliness of the staff really can’t be overstated—they make you feel right at home.

All in all, we were incredibly impressed and will definitely be back....

Ashley and Lizzie are super friendly and professional, providing that perfect mix of small town charm and excellent service. The people who work here made me feel warm and welcomed as soon as I stepped through the door. They made me feel like they’ve known me their whole life. Great vibes. Best coffee in the valley, hands down. The baked goods and protein bowls are chefs kiss. They have SO many gluten free/dairy free/sugar free options that way every person can find something.
