After a 4yr boycott I decided to give Gino's a 2nd chance, I deeply regretted my decision as soon as I placed a call for pickup, the guy who answered the phone greeted me with a huge sigh over the phone followed by the response "can I help you" with a voice that sounded highly annoyed that I called, asked if they still had the large 4 topping pizza deal and he responded with "uh-huh", so I told him that that's what I wanted to order, told him the toppings I wanted, which was pepperoni, onions, bacon and extra cheese, also asked for the toppings to be placed on top of the cheese, (Gino's makes their pizzas with the toppings underneath the cheese, which I highly dislike), with another deep sigh the employee asked me if that was all and I said yes, told me it would be 30min and hung up the phone with no thank you or anything.
Fast forward 30min: got there exactly 30min later, came in the restaurant and no one was around, they had the juke box blaring horrible country music, after waiting for 2min at the counter decided to poke my head through the kitchen door, immediately spotted an employee leaning against the prep table on his phone and told him that I'm here to pick up my order, I proceed back to the counter, the employee grabs my pizza from the oven and literally plops it on the counter and tells me it will be $11 + tax, before I paid I decided to look into the box to make sure everything was ok, I'm glad I did, this pizza was so poorly made, looked worse than the cheapest frozen pizza you can get at a discount store, very thin crust, very little toppings, specially the onions which was diced very small and looked like they only put about one table spoon of it, there was no bacon and enough pepperoni to cover a small pizza, (this is probably why they put the toppings under the cheese, they cheat you), I asked him "is this all the toppings I get?", he asked me what was the problem with it?, and I got so mad that I responded back with "this st is pathetic, I'm not paying for this st", so I plopped the pizza back on the counter the same way it was handed to me and stormed out of the restaurant very mad, I knew I was making a mistake giving them a 2nd chance, I know this sounds far fetched or made up, but it's not, I really wished I would have brought my phone in with me, I don't know if these supposedly good reviews are either fake or they're for the day shift crew, there's no way in hell it could be for the night shift, if you don't believe me, experience it for yourself, I will never give this place another chance again and I'm sorry for saying this, but places like this deserve to go out...
Read moreI ordered two twelve inch Sicilian subs today via their website. My husband picked them up at the drive thru. To our utter shock and dismay, when we upwrapped them, they were horrible. The bread was hard, at least a day old if not more, and the meat made Subway look good. We couldn't even taste it. The cheese was a joke, the toppings were practically nonexistent, and they were only 4 inches long. My husband actually measured mine. It was supposed to be two six inch pieces. There was no mayo or "Gino''s sauce" on them, the onions were missing and I paid $1.09 for three half slices of tomato on the entire sub. There were three olives on one of my halves. This cost us $24.68 and feel TOTALLY ripped off. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. Wal-Mart's subs are better. That's how bad it was. I called the manager who wanted my sick husband to drive 20 miles round trip to replace them. Never again. This place is awful. I'm calling the Corporate...
Read moreI was in here about a week ago on a trip and am still disappointed in not only the pizza but the service. My hotel recommended this place which really shocked me! I placed the order online and waited about 15 minutes before I headed to the place. A 12 minute ride, walk in the door , no hello or acknoledgement and they hadnt even started on my order. They acted like I wasnt there for almost a minute. I had a flatbread and a sandwich on my order. 15 more minutes and they finally tell me my order is ready. When I grab it from the counter, no thank you, come again, NOTHING. extremely rude. I get back to my hotel and what a let down. They could have microwaved my food because that's what it tasted like. Luckily there are none of these in my state because I would definitely be telling people there is far better pizza joints...
