I hired Niecy to do my brides wedding cake on 9/27/25. I reached out to Niecy to confirm the timeline 3 weeks before the wedding and she indicated the delivery time would be between 2:30pm - 4pm which was fine considering the wedding did not start until 5pm. If you are a Planner, you know that the wedding day is a very busy day and you're pulled in all different directions making sure everything is to perfection. Around 5:45pm my Assistant informed me that the cake had not arrived, so I reached for my phone to see what was going on. I noticed at 4:01pm Niecy sent me a text letting me know that she was running late due to transportation issues and her arrival time would be btwn 4:45Ppm and 5pm. Mind you when she reached out to me at 4:01pm, the cake should have already been at the venue.

There was another text at 4:50pm letting me know that she would be later than she thought and from there I immediately phoned her to find out what the issue was. She told me that she had transportation issues, but everything was worked out, and she was in route. Her final arrival time was 6:44pm.

I told Niecy that I had an angry bride and this requires further discussion on her part.

I honestly thought that I would have received a phone call from this business owner the week after the wedding to get in more detail about what had happened. I know that it would not have changed the situation, but a simple phone call would send a signal to me that she really cared about what had happened but to no avail, I had not heard from her and THAT sent a signal to me that she really did not give a xxxx and for that reason prompt me to write this review.

I know that things happen in all situations but when you make mistakes, I feel it is imperative that you make it right whether it's compensation or whatever, it sends a signal that you really care and are truly sorry for what took place. But when you ignore the situation, it leads people to believe that you just don't care and for me that leaves a nasty taste in my mouth regardless how good you may be at your craft and for that reason, I will NEVER us this vendor again.

VERY DISSATISFIED...

This was one of the most disappointing experiences of my life. I placed an order for a birthday cake for my son. I was given a $220 amount and I asked to break that in half, she said yes. Less than a week before my son’s party, I start receiving texts telling me my balance is almost $400 PLUS the remaining half of the $220 I paid! I reached out and said it was a mistake. Originally, she said it was and would correct it. Then she emailed me back and said it wasn’t a mistake and while the billing was confusing, that was the price and she couldn’t do anything for less than $350. Her “compromise” was to refund my deposit.

She left me in a HORRIBLE position and completely ruined the cake experience I tried to create for my son.

I would have thought she would have stuck to what I was originally told and complete the cake for a child’s birthday but not a chance.

Horrible service.

I don’t recommend ANYONE use her services.

A very brief reply to her response:

At no time was I ever provided an invoice quoting the almost $500 invoice PRIOR to you sending that quote after my initial payment

Even after the dispute over price, you didn’t disagree that the invoice was confusing

I understand your baking process, but at the end of the day, that doesn’t have anything to do with me

I was never told you have a minimum $350 cake charge until the issues arose

At the end of the day, I felt I received horrible service, an incredibly frustrating and insincere way to “correct” the situation and in the end, a customer, a child, was ignored over profit.

I understand you are not a non-profit and I have no issue with paying you for your work.

My issue was confusing billing, a poor offer for resolution and you absolutely, 100% ruined my son’s birthday.

So I've waited to post cuz I wanted to be able to really express how impressed I was with Ms.Niecy's work and communication and just over all experience. I need to point out that I ordered my cake pretty short notice only a lil more than two weeks prior n we didn't have confirmation until the very week prior, on top of that our event happened to fall on the same weekend as the Hurricane came...some how she managed to not only nail what we asked for with only emails n a few pics to go from but she did under pressure...I seen in another review someone complaining about her prices, well the $400 minimum was well deserved especially considering the circumstances and needs met...The cake was an absolute hit at the party and tasted great too boot n the entire cake was edible! We were all Very Very happy n have been singing her praises since the unveiling! I really hope to be able to have her do something else for me again...though I'm sure she will be doing even greater things before long so book her while she is...
