I am admittedly biased for this one, but hear me out . ..this is a cool spot. The owners Jason and Debby try very hard to make this place a springboard for fun, and a mini-hub of the greater Cleveland art scene. This is a newer bar, only opened in 2023, the interior is eclectic. This place is artsy while skipping the pomp. Some of the many activities offered up over the past year, hear is my incomplete list: paint and pours (folks doodle away the evening while lubricating the mind, conversation flows), the obligatory musicians open mics where some of Cleveland's local legends are known to pop in to play along with the unknowns, there have been comedy open mics as well, and scheduled comedy stand-ups as well. There are local and visiting musicians occasionally doing scheduled shows here, there have been reggae, blues, folk, and bluegrass nights....electric and acoustic entertainment. There is art on the walls, some for purchase, and peppered with the craziest assortment of antiques as well. There have been evenings here devoted to antiques displays and marketing, and that's important because it feels a little bit like you're stomping through someone's barn on the hunt for a fabled piece of classic Americana, minus the dust and someone put a bar in there. There is a working glass crafters studio out in the back as well .... Tours are offered on occasions. There is a real sense of community here, and not in any sort of gatekeeper, closed out way....it's for everyone. Highly recommend. The bathrooms are comfortable and clean, there is handicap accessible ramps, it is not a restaurant, so there is no food menu, and the drinks are very reasonably priced. For any artist or person that wants to feel a little bit more a part of the community, can't...
Read moreFor years we have wondered about this place and were so pleased to finally see the inside. The whole place, including the outside of the building and parking areas, is full of art and interesting things to look at. There are two bars inside, an outside bar will open in the summer, and the whole upstairs is full of antiques, set up in inviting sitting areas, even a cool metal set of wings for selfies! The front bar itself is made of a beautiful reclaimed piece of wood, and a gigantic chain fixed in place stands as the piece to rest your feet upon. The staff is friendly and engaging. The cocktails are top notch and interesting. There is live music, antiques everywhere, and cozy little sitting areas abound. A great new addition to Geauga County. We will be...
Read moreOne of the best places anywhere around northeast Ohio, beyond one of a kind...there's just no other place anywhere like Hoff's and it's a must see bar. It's right off 422, so accessible for folks from Cleveland and the east side and well worth the drive. The owners (who are also the artists) are great, kind people and the staff are as well. Really welcoming, fun, and friendly atmosphere with an outdoor firepit and covered patio area.
They don't have food, but you can order pizza from Sirnas right up the road, and occasionally they have food trucks. Check their website and socials.
Live music, comedy and other events almost...
