I ordered food from McAlister's tonight through the Tiger Town To Go delivery service, about 5:50 pm I believe. The food came, took a while, but their delivery time prediction was accurate. However, when I got my food, my sandwich was wrong. I had ordered a full-size sandwich with a cup of soup on the side, and a baked potato. The potato and the soup were correct but the sandwich only had meat and bread on it, instead of with the cheese I added and it was only a half sandwich. I called the restaurant to ask them to give me a credit or to send a new sandwich and was told they couldn't help me. I asked them why that was and was given non-answers and finally got the manager on the phone. I didn't get her name, but it was whoever was working Monday evening, 2/26/18. She was not very polite and seemed shocked and frustrated that I would want a refund/new sandwich/etc. She finally told me that she would comp the sandwich from my bill and I asked how that would work, considering I paid the delivery driver with cash. She told me I had to call the delivery service and tell them to come back and give me money back. We ended the call, but I thought about it and realized I had no proof to give the delivery service as to why they should give me money back. So I tried calling the restaurant again, but the line was busy for 15 minutes. I finally got someone to answer the phone but the poor girl who answered had to keep running back and forth between the phone and her manager because the manager would not come to the phone, for whatever reason. I told them that I had no proof, and anyway I didn't think it should be my job trying to rectify the situation since they were the people responsible for filling my order incorrectly. So then the manager said that they would give me a new sandwich, I only had to go and get it. Now, if I had a way to get to the restaurant and avoid the delivery and service charges from the delivery service, I would have done that in the first place. I told them as much, and I was told once again that I could not be helped if I would not come to get the sandwich. I asked how they were going to fix the situation then and they told me to call the delivery service and get them to come back for my sandwich. I said no, once again, they messed up, I would prefer it if they fixed their mistake. So then, she rudely said "Fine. I will call them and get them to bring you your sandwich." Then she hung up before I could ask when that would be. It has now been almost a full two hours since that last call, and I have not gotten my sandwich. I know this isn't a big deal, just a sandwich, but I paid for a meal and would like to get what I paid for, without being treated like an imbecile. I am not happy with this McAlister's and would give it a negative stars review if I could. Please be wary when ordering from this restaurant, and be prepared to deal with possible rudeness. That being said, the cash register girl I spoke with was very polite...
Read moreI’ve been here a few times and would usually rate it a 4 or 5 but this evening when I went was a disappointment. I came in and made a choose two order and my husband ordered a sandwich and soup. The young man who took our order did not listen to our order, resulting in my husband missing the chips he ordered in addition to the soup, so he ended up not getting them. The cashier also was mumbling very badly, making it hard to understand what he was saying. We did a take out order and the sandwich I ordered was the club sandwich and it wasn’t made correctly, as it’s literally the only sandwich I order or eat from there and know it was incorrect. The meat didn’t even cover the bread, it was only at the very tip of the sandwich and it looked like they used salad remains to make my sandwich. The bread was soggy and saturated by the time I got home, which I live less than 10 minutes away. My husband’s sandwich was also falling apart. Tonight was just a disappointment, but normally it’s a great experience here.
The one positive thing I can say is their broccoli cheddar soup is my absolute favorite and is...
Read moreCame in today 07/27/24 .. its been a year to see if they fixed any issues. Well, I didn't get past the register before deciding to never return to any Mcalisters establishment. Yet another restaurant with no waiters expecting customers to "tip" someone for doing the job they applied for. It is not customers' jobs to provide your workers with extra money so they can survive. 07/26/23 came in with my family to not be greeted by the ladies up front, cursing, and gossiping. But I was definitely attentive if i was going to tip or not . Took a while to get our food compared to previous visits. Witnessed the lady up front handle trash then cups then customers plates with no gloves or in between hand washes. Tea was horrible. I truly wanted a full refund but couldn't get their attention over the gossiping. The order number was #75. we had 3 McAlister clubs, 1 king club with drinks....
