We heard about this little piece of heaven from a friend. Don't let the outside of the place deter you. It looks like a house but if you go around to the back there's more parking and a wheelchair ramp. More parking is available behind the garden store next door. We were not disappointed. The food was fabulous and the service was non stop. We had a group of 10 today. Several ordered the French dip, one the triple combo and a couple got the special of the day turkey havarti. No complaints whatsoever!! Although the French dip was to die for. All sandwiches came with sun chips. Affordable and homemade deliciousness. A few ordered some soups. The general consensus was the lentil soup was best with the cheddar potato and roasted red pepper tomato a close second. The mushroom soup was good but not my fav. Some also ordered dessert which the key lime pie I could die in it was so good. Mom loved the cheesecake and it was beautifully served with a chocolate covered strawberry. I literally can't wait to go back again. Update: I've been back a few more times now and it is consistently delicious.

Ms Carol was simply amazing! Food was exceptional! This restaurant offers healthy options, along with gluten-free options. The restaurant is clean and neat. You can not go wrong with any of the soups!

This was such a fun experience! The service was fantastic and the food was really good! Even bought a painting by a local artist, will definitely be making this a stop on my next trip back to Augusta

If you're looking for a restaurant that checks every box—flavor, hospitality, inclusivity, affordability, and artistry—then let me introduce you to a true hidden gem: Back to Nature Bistro. From the moment you step through the doors, there's an unmistakable warmth in the air. Maybe it's the intoxicating smell of fresh bread baking daily in the kitchen. Or maybe it’s the heartfelt welcome from the staff, who treat you more like a friend than a customer. But if you're lucky enough to spot Chef Carol, the brilliant mind behind the menu and a certified MasterChef (her degree is proudly framed on the wall), you’ll know exactly why this place feels so special. They also have framed celebrities on the wall who've eaten here! Including Alice Cooper & Bare naked ladies! Every detail at Back to Nature Bistro is crafted with care. Their food is not just well-seasoned—it’s perfectly balanced, rich with flavor, and made with the kind of attention usually reserved for fine dining restaurants. Yet somehow, it remains affordable enough that I've become a regular. And I mean regular—I’ve tried nearly everything on the menu! Let’s talk highlights: Fresh-Baked Bread & Cheesecake That Dreams Are Made Of! The bread, warm and fluffy, is enough to make you sigh in delight. And the cheesecake? Oh wow. Silky, decadent, and dressed in fancy chocolates that look like edible art. It’s honestly the best I’ve had anywhere. I find myself ordering a slice (or two) to go almost every visit. Butterfly Lemonade – A Magical Touch Their famous butterfly lemonade is not just refreshing—it’s a whimsical experience. Watch it change colors at the table, and prepare to be wowed. It’s the kind of playful, unexpected detail that perfectly sums up the vibe here. Everyone Is Welcome at This Table Whether you’re vegan, diabetic, vegetarian, allergic to common ingredients, or just a devoted carnivore, Back to Nature Bistro has you covered. Chef Carol has designed a menu that caters to everyone. Their soups are all vegan-friendly, yet packed so full of bold, comforting flavor that you’d never guess. The lentil soup is my personal favorite—it’s hearty, earthy, and utterly soul-warming. The B2N House Salad: A Star in Its Own Right I can’t write this review without mentioning the B2N House Salad. It may sound simple, but it’s a knockout. Chef Carol’s homemade dressing is tangy, slightly sweet, and so packed with fresh herbs and flavor that I find myself craving it between visits. Comfort Food with a Gourmet Twist Beyond soups and salads, the bistro offers a rotating menu of comfort foods that feel like a warm hug on a plate—every dish thoughtfully presented with the most beautiful plating I’ve ever seen in a casual restaurant. It’s like getting fine-dining quality at diner prices. The value here is unbelievable. Kid-Friendly & Family-Focused As a family spot, they go above and beyond. There are kid options, coloring pages, and even little activities to keep young ones engaged while you enjoy your meal. It’s a rare thing to find a place where both foodies and families can feel equally at home. Sweet Touches: In-House Chocolates & Candy Bars Back to Nature also makes their own specialty chocolates and candy bars in house, and wow—they’re worth the trip alone. Whether as a gift or a treat for yourself, they’re both beautiful and delicious. Each bite reflects the same love and intention found in the rest of the menu. Perfect for Celebrations Got a birthday, office party, or just want to treat yourself? They offer party platters, cater to special requests, and even take custom orders. I've attended two events catered by them and each time the food stole the show. From elegant finger foods to hearty entrees, they handle it all with grace. Impeccable Standards & Service Another thing worth celebrating? They’ve never had a health score below 100—A testament to their high standards and dedication to cleanliness. On top of that, every single staff member I’ve met has been unfailingly kind and polite. They make dining here a pleasure every single time. 5 stars...

So I have been in love with the Back to Nature Garden Center for years now- I loved it from my very first visit! David Harden and his staff are incredible people with amazing knowledge. Love it and them - then the Bistro came along - WOW ! A beautiful serene peaceful nature escape in the middle of the city and now you can have DELICIOUS BREAKFAST , LUNCH AND DINNER!!!! I was in Florida for a month and this was my first stop from the airport - THE PORTOBELLO SUB - beyond yum! The key lime pie to go because the sub was totally consumed and filling! The prices can’t be beat- the food is always always always delicious and fresh- they also go out of their way to accommodate- the energy of the outdoors doesn’t stop at the bistro doors - it’s peaceful and serene and family like inside the bistro! The Back to Nature Garden Center and Back to Nature Bistro is a must do! You won’t be sorry. Bring the kiddos - they can color while they dine and then go feed the farm animals. It’s an adventure - take a hike on the trails and come back to the bistro for tea, coffee , a snack - it’s a delicious adventure for the palate and the soul! And then buy some unique plants for your garden ! ...
