McDonald's — Restaurant in Augusta

This should be a 0 star review. Do NOT come to this location. They are thieves! My husband ordered through the app and arrived at the store at 7:30 to wait for his food in the parking spot. No one ever came out to give him our food. So at 8:00 he tries to go through the drive thru and he finds out the store closed at 8:00. We called and someone answered, and they told us we'd have to show them our bank statement (absolutely not going to do that). We put in a complaint online and the store owner called, apologized up and down and promised we'd get refunded asap. It's been over a week and still no refund. I've emailed him twice and I have not gotten a response. My husband called the store to see if he was there, and were told to call back in 30 mins. We called back and he was not there and they would not provide me with a direct number for him. The staff in this store are extremely rude and inconsiderate of other peoples time and money. They accused my husband of trying to get "free money" from them when he said the owner said we'd get our refund but hadn't gotten it yet. It was "free money" for THEM because THEY stole it from us. The last few times we've been there, previous to this incident, we always wait long periods of time. I can be sympathetic if the staff were polite but they are some of the rudest people I've ever spoken to. We are done with this store and I advise the same for anyone else. Within my family, on the road today ( 5 -11-19 ) traveling to the sweet onion capital of the universe, Vidalia Georgia. Also home to the very noteworthy Paul Anderson Youth Home, helping with troubled youth for decades. Stopped in to pick up a quick lunch and hit the road again to make a meeting. As we drove, I discovered, much to my disappointment, the 6 strip chicken strip entree was short 2 strips. Didn't have time.to turn around and request a correction. I was not happy about that. I was happy that my daughter spontaneously shared some of her chicken nuggets with me without any request on my part. Now I know that in the grand scheme of things this is not that big a deal. It's not brain cancer, nor some nefarious plot. The cook didn't come out tell me he was working on my meal and then disappeared never to be seen again. I just didn't think that my expectations were unreasonable in that when I ordered and paid for a 6 piece chicken strip that someone would be able to count all the way up to six, and not stop at the 4 I received. That being said, anyone can have a bad day, and so I would be willing to give them another chance to raise my rating. The chicken I did receive was actually quite good, very hot and thus likely freshly made. Definitely get a few extra napkins. In case you also get shorted on your order, you can sop up any grease with the napkins and gnaw on them to quell your hunger pangs. Lots of cellulosic fiber there to...

Update: 2 years later, as I sit waiting for my online order that says it was ready for pickup 10 minutes ago and the staff stands around playing with each other, I come to give a store review and see I already gave this awful location 1 star two years ago. I wish I could give a store less stars. Let me also mention the bad management. I was charged for an order I never received recently so I messaged corporate. They had this location's manager contact me, upon which she told me that people are not charged in such circumstances so give it a few days and let her know if I did not receive a release on the hold of the money McDonald's charged me through my bank. Of course I didn't, McDonald's charged me, so I messaged corporate AGAIN and they stated it was that store's issue, so they would again have her reach out to me. This time she completely ignored my request. Clearly management is a big part of the many problems at this awful location. Worst McDonald's hands down. Employees are rude and very unprofessional.
