I never do these sorts of reviews, but I've recently found some negative ones for Cafe Hot Wing and wanted to do my best to offset them. I have been eating at this place since for over fifteen years and have had nothing but a perfect experience there.
I'm very confused by the reviews saying the people working there are rude as both the husband and wife have always been nothing but friendly with my entire family. It's clear the husband knows far less English than his wife so his responses are usually shorter than hers, but over the years even that has changed as his use of our language has gotten better.
The wings are smaller than you'd expect going in, which I actually prefer since it means they're crispier and taste far better in my opinion. Other wing places I've gone to usually have soggier wings that just aren't as appealing to me even if I request them to be well done. Don't even get me started on the sauce or cooking method they use as I don't know what they're doing, but it works. The wife (I only now realize we don't know either of their names) will frequently check on you to see if you need a refill or anything else and always has a smile on her face.
Cafe Hot Wing is hands down my favorite location to eat at (or bring food home from) at least once a week and I always feel welcomed when I do so. I highly recommend giving them a shot if you're in the area. It's the place I and my family like bringing friends to for the first time and none of them have ever complained about the service or...
Read moreLet's start here! Like any business there is always that one person that makes the business look bad. With that being said, due to one bad apple I will NEVER eat at this place AGAIN nor will I recommend anyone to eat here. The cashier had the nastiest attitude. First I asked him if their sweet tea was actually sweet and he said that it's very good which it was not to my liking. So instead, I asked for something else and he thought that it was okay for him to remove my straw I drank out of from the tea and place it into my new drink. I removed the straw and asked for a new one and the cashier catches an attitude.... okay.... then I asked for napkins when I finally received my food and the cashier smacks his lips and points at me.... okay.... meanwhile another customer becomes uneasy because he brought to my attention that the cook was using his bare hands to touch the food even though I know that gloves carry more germs BUT so does his pants. YES, his pants which he constantly wiped his hands on. My experience here was by far the worst. I wish it was possible to rate them -5 stars...
Read moreA friend and I sat down tonight at 9:30 and ordered 20 wings and a half pitcher of beer. Upon walking in we were greeted by the female owner screaming at us and into the phone "WHAT". After placing only half of our order we were told to sit down. Fifteen minutes later, we recieved our half order. The wings were small but tasteful. But at 9:53 the owner walked over, shut down our T.V. We let him know we were still watching it as he walked to turn off the other T.V and the neons. He informed us that they were closed and we had been there eating for 30 minutes already and we needed to hurry. Shocked and offended we ate the remainder of our wings. Meanwhile they took 2 more walk-in orders. At 10:05 they asked (actually more like demanded) that we were finished and took our plates. One stood at the register screaming $18.01. The other blocked the entrance, I guess expecting us to run out on the bill. We really should have. Horrible service the entire time. Cafe Wing Maxx in Hiram, Ga and many other places have far...
