Crazy Fruits North — Restaurant in Austin

I love this place. I go often and have for years. BUT they skim money. They round up. For example if something is $4.51 they say five and take the chance you'll pay cash and they don't give you change. If you pay with a card they can't change it and you pay $4.51 even though the receipt says $4.50 but this penny could be a bank thing or card fee. 49 cents however all day long adds up and it's happened to me multiple times. Once I called a manager and walked back and got my change because I was that poor at the time, single parent. The manager I spoke to was at a different location, seemed upset, called them for me and I believe they don't know what the Riverside location is doing. I really wonder how much over their register is at closing each day. It's not harmless and I make sure to pay with a card and not tip when we do go. Just ordered a banana and strawberry smoothie. I received what tasted like a melted snowcone. I asked for a refund. The only person that was competent enough to speak, told me that they don't do refunds without the manager. I was trying to be reasonable, so i asked for them to make it again. The man that spoke to me, grabbed my drink, chunked it in the trash, and made me the blandest smoothie including a baby banana and 4 strawberries. I couldn't believe that i was being treated like a di** for wanting to get what i paid for. I might as well bought a naked juice smoothie. Continued.. my next trip was WEAK!! I'm going to start tipping AFTER I get my order.. because this $10 tray of air was not tip worthy.

And that my friends is how you go from a 5star review...to a one star. Not a happy camper.... theres 2 other competitors right down the street. I think next time I'll see if they appreciate having good regular customers that tip well and try to help bring in others for support.. these folks...
