This is the closest donut shop to my neighborhood, and I'm so glad it's there. They are open super early, so if you have to go somewhere before sunrise, it's a no-brainer to make a stop here. All their donuts are amazing - light, fluffy, crispy, delicious. That includes their cake donuts, but do not pass on the kolaches. The jumbo and normal kolaches are both fantastic. I am always greeted with a smile by whomever is working. The prices are also still reasonable. I've gotten enough for two people for under $10, and I enjoy these more than the common $6 per gourmet donut shops you can find around town. The atmosphere is exactly what you'd expect for a donut shop in the parking lot of a convenience store gas station shopping strip, and I love it.
When the time comes that I eventually move out of this neighborhood, my main grief will come from no longer being 2 minutes from this place. I will do my best to continue to give them business even if it is a bit of a drive. Definitely check this place out! I wish the owners and the workers the best and...
Read moreI eat a lot of local donuts, so I guess I’m picky. Got 2 glazed donuts and a kolache. Kolache was one of the best I’ve had. Donut glaze tasted weird, maybe a hint of lemon-flavor in the whole batch or something? Not sure, but it tasted the way a bottle of floor cleaner smells, if that makes sense. The batter of blueberry and old fashioned were good and soft however (10 am). She pushed me to getting more than I wanted/paying more because I was “using a card.” Not a fan of the “make up for the x% the credit card reader takes” hustle. I’d prefer they just tell people with cash they’re getting an x% discount. I don’t want to carry cash on the corner of Cameron and Rundburg because this area can be sketchy. Also this lady wasn’t welcoming or friendly in the slightest. Gonna bump this up from 2 to 3 stars because it could be an off day for homegirl....
Read moreI was a little skeptical of this place because I'd never heard of it and it's kind of hidden away in a dingy strip mall, but after reading the reviews, I decided to give it a try. This is a great place! The inside is clean and bright, and the woman behind the counter (maybe the owner?) was friendly and warm. Most important of all -- the donuts were wonderful! Very fresh, too. I think these donuts are much prettier than many you'll get in town. They're perfectly round with just the right amount of frosting, nuts, and other toppings. No gloopy glaze or weird shapeless donuts. They also have kolaches, sandwiches, and croissants, but I haven't tried them yet. Don't be put off by the location, this is my new favorite donut shop in town. I can't wait to come again and support a small...
