What a magical find!! I came in here on a whim to meet with someone and it was like being transported into a mythical tea land. It is beautifully decorated, and the staff is super helpful and friendly, even when I asked a bunch of probably dumb questions. The tea is banging, to boot! I got the HK milk tea and the chrysanthemum tea, both at 50% sweetness and iced, and I was not disappointed. I typically avoid boba places, because even asking for not very sweet, they usually are still to sweet for me. I should preface this all by saying I drink A LOT of tea at home, so I can be a little picky about how I like it. The HK milk tea was like a super strong tea latte, and it tasted like tea!!! that may sound dumb, but for those of you who actually like tea and not the sweetener, it matters. The boba is not overwhelming, just a lovely little textural addition to really good tea!! I will be back.
If you actually like tea and not just the boba fad, this is the spot for you. they also have snacks and coffee if that is your thing :) But do yourself the favor and swing by this little gem of a tea shop, snap a picture in front of their photo wall, and enjoy the pleasant...
Read moreI am so excited that this place is (soft) opening! We have been keeping an eye on it ever since moving to the area. Everyone inside was very kind, and the decor is beautiful! The cafe area was clean and fresh smelling, and the man working behind the counter was very informative when discussing how Hong Kong tea is different from other milk teas. He seems very personable and genuine in his interactions with customers.
I got the classic HK Milk Tea (iced) and it tasted naturally flavorful compared to the milk teas you find at 85 Degrees, Teapioca, etc. I have a very American palette, but to me it tasted strong and "complex" in a good way. I also really like that the lids have both a sipping spout and a straw hole. My husband has to use a straw due to swallowing difficulties when tilting his head up while I prefer spouts (chronic coffee drinker working in legal work), so it's win-win!
So excited to have a local tea spot as milk tea is our go-to treat, and we usually end up making the drive to other locations 10+ minutes away, but HK Tea is right down the street. Everyone go to HK Tea!!!!

Read moreDecided to venture out and try HK Tea for the first time. The space is super cute and clean. Plenty of parking in the lot. There’s the option to order at a kiosk or with a cashier. We got a classic milk tea and a chrysanthemum milk tea after reading the rave reviews about it. The order came out fast and the employees were nice enough. I asked if the chrysanthemum tea had caffeine, just to double check since there are no indicators on the menu, and the employee said she didn’t think so. I’m super sensitive to caffeine and I’m pretty sure it had caffeine. So be prepared if you’re sensitive! Otherwise, the drinks themselves were underwhelming. The chrysanthemum tea had a chalky after taste. We didn’t realize the classic milk tea was with green tea, so that was interesting. Both drinks tasted watered down and the honey boba tasted like regular unsweetened boba. It was $14 for two drinks. Overall, it kind of scratches an itch if you’re craving boba but I wouldn’t go out of my way...
