Clean facility, the place have gotten very poor food quality, the kobideh has become slimmer and slimmer and much backing soda added to make it stick to the skews therefore we no longer will go there. Today we went there for the 8th times and we ordered our dishes. Did left the restaurant with tip as usual. I am sad that I made it clear to the server that I like to have a low carb order. She said no problem we offer 3 types of salads. I asked her if it is going to be extra since with my order I do not want Rice or Tomatoes or bread she replied no problem in the system we can substitute that. We ate had a tea and took our extra to go order with us . Came home I saw that the prices of the sultan was higher than the menu. I called and spoke to our server that why she miss represented the information to us, she could not give me a clear answer. I asked to speak to the manager and she would not listen to the issue. All I was trying to inform her so it does not happen to others. The manager would keep talking that you got the salad, you got the sultani and yes we charge extra even though if you don’t get the rice or the tomatoes. Well I have no problem with her statement. The problem is that the manager says to me that you want me to call my customer service and issue you a credit for $3.75 is this little money is the problem ? I said to the lady manager that lady if that is the case why did we left 18% tip which was over 12 dollars. But she kept not listening and saying things which could have been done very easily by saying to us sorry for the misunderstanding and we will inform our servers or put a notations so this confusion would not repeat itself. But she says if you are a loyal customer why you should bother calling, she says I have been in business for 18 years. To that I said lady I have been in retail for over 35 years and don’t think this should have been handed this way and she made other remarks that I rather not write it.update on our takeout it was terrible , only one piece of meat the meat size was 1/2ā€x1/4ā€ a watery soup like and no Beans, like they blend it in a blinder. Not a real Persian food anymore at all. We were used to the great Persian foods of Houston such as Reza’s , Avesta’s and Kasra’s Persian foods, all run by great owners who know how to stay constant on delivering great tasting...

This was the second time that we tried this restaurant only because I wanted to give them one more chance but most definitely regretting itā€¼ļø Naaah, Man, I hardly tried to ignore the update on my review but I couldn't help it. This place disappointed again. Not to mention their absolutely ridiculous overpriced menu, but the size of their portion is still irrefutably small! Imma be very honest with the owners and management of this restaurant, this is not a high-end restaurant and I think it isn’t quite smart to serve Persian food which is known for its large portions in a kids size portions, LITERALLY! I personally would be there at least twice a month if the portion size would be decent size, but this time the flavor wasn’t just right either! Also, during this visit we decided to try their TAHDIG (crispy rice with ā€œsomeā€ stew on top.) appetizer plate, but OMG, you gotta be kidding me ! The size of Tahdig plate was unimaginably small for $13. Don’t take my words? Look for yourself in the picture. This is a scam. Now they would probably reply to this and say we would love to address this to the management and blah blah blah!! Please contact us via this email or that email and we will make sure that we will get it right next time YARA YARA YARA, but we all know that’s just a nice way to say your opinion is not important to us and we’re gonna keep doing what we’ve been doing! Whatever!

Anyway, now about the actual ā€œfoodā€; for the start they brought two old & cold pieces off pita bread, two little cube of feta cheese, and literally 2šŸƒ of mint, and 2 piece of radish. I wish I could tell them hey don’t even bother to insult us with this kind of starter !!

Main dishes: The chicken kebab was very dry and unflavored. The Koobide kebob was extremely thin (probably not even 100 g of meat) and chewy. The rice was uncooked. No flavors whatsoever. I had to add salt, pepper, and every available spices on the table to get some flavors on my ā€œPersian dish.ā€ VERY VERY DISAPPOINTINGā€¼ļø

60.00 $ for two of the most simple and easiest Persian dishes ever.

If you are on diet and need a kids size food or a snack bar this is your place! Otherwise you better off spending your money and time elsewhere to get real decent (adult size) Mediterranean/middle Eastern food because this place is NOT an authentic one , let alone a Persian...

I have been coming to Shandeez grill since 2010 when we lived in the neighborhood across the street.

This place has morphed over the 15 years I've seen it in operations.

Today was a nice quiet day and with me and the Ms. Running Duos we decided our point of interest was Mediterranean.

We pulled up about 6:00 p.m. which is about an hour and a half before they close. As you walk in you are greeted with A host stand so please wait to be seated.

You will notice to your left open doors leading to the bakery. This was an addition that was added to feature the fantastic bakery goods from the family.

When we come we get the same thing whether it's two of us or 3. The family platter 2.

This says it feeds four and I'm sure it does but for me and my wife it feeds both of us and then gives us a lunch for the next day.

Starters are privated to the table and the form of feta cheese butter, a half onion and radish. They used to include walnuts and parsley but no longer do.

You are given three types of rice with Zeresek being my favorite.

You get two pieces of beef kabob chicken breast kabob on the bone Quail drums and wings And a flat steak kabob

This food is to die for. It is delicious and fantastic. There have been some noticeable changes from when you used to order it to now and that's expected from eating here for a long time.

Some of the changes are walnuts and parsley and the appetizer missing. -The food used to come out on a silver platter which had a very large bread on the base. That red has shrunk but they do provide additional bread if requested. -Zeresek rice had half the amount of berries as before.

For dessert, we did go to the other bakery and picked up a lemon tart and a pistachio cake

You are able to combine your dessert from the bakery total to your ticket total.

We would 100% eat here again and we'll eat here at least once the two times a year even though it's out of the location range for our normal dining experience.

They are training newer staff for waiting at the moment so please be patient.

The restaurant does close early Monday through Thursday at 7:30 so please call ahead to make sure they're open the day you...
