Our group of ten yachters just ate at The Grill in Williams Island and we were seated promptly by the staff and a lovely waitress took both our drink orders and delivered them and took our “entree only” dinner orders. That’s when things got ugly....a two hour wait from ordering dinner, and only half the entrees arrived. Those entrees that did arrive were the lighter fare like their pizza and wings. The actual regular entrees were delivered by a food runner with one plate at a time (guess they didn’t trust his handling) and it was a snails pace. The garlic spinach I ordered had zero taste, and the restaurant was barely 25% full. Lastly when my wife went to the restroom in the main floor of the restaurant was a diner with his dog, sprawled out on the floor in an isle with a pile of bones from the kitchen. The shame is management either doesn’t know how to expedite, the kitchen staff has no clue and I really guess no one cares because residents are forced to spend about 100 a month here like it or not. Aventura began its development during the early 1970s. The area was initially referred to as Turnberry. Aventura became an incorporated city in 1995. The Aventura Police Department was formed in 1997.[7] The Aventura Mall, the fifth-largest shopping mall in the US, is also here.
Aventura is home to the luxury resort Turnberry Isle, where the yacht Monkey Business was docked during the Gary Hart/Donna Rice incident, which contributed to Hart ending his 1988 bid for presidency.[8]
In early 2001, Former President Bill Clinton delivered one of his first speeches after leaving the White House at Aventura-Turnberry...
