Mary's Burritos and Beer — Restaurant in Avery Creek

Wow, where do I even start with this one... Went to lunch here for the first time with some work friends that highly suggested it. Now we're never going back. First, I ordered Mary's Super Sampler. When I didn't receive what I thought I ordered I was told I ordered something else. Sure didn't, but whatever, close enough. I'm not going to argue about it. Then my friend behind me is charged a higher price for an item than what the menu listed. It took some arguing and explaining of how math works but eventually he was refunded the difference. Then, my vegan friend ordered his meal with no cheese. Got cheese all over his meal. When he again asked for a meal with no cheese he was told by a manager that next time he needs to say "no cheese" if he wants no cheese. There we're about 7 of us all trying to tell him that's exactly what he ordered. We all heard it. I let the manager know that we did not plan on arguing with him anymore and he was asked to take the food back and end this awful experience before it gets worse.

Honestly though, even if the staff hadn't made this experience so terrible I would probably still be writing a review about how mediocre the food is. If all you want is a cheap burrito you could do better by just going to moes. The tamale was I had was somehow flavorless and the yuca was mushy. Fried plantains were pretty...

I saw this on a drive to an auction with my wife one day. So we decided to try it. Let me say this was the worst experience I have ever had. We ordered online for pick up. When I got there (past the time of pick up) it wasn’t ready, I had to wait another 20 minutes. I was okay with that but when I went to pay, it was about 10 dollars more than what it had said the cost would be online. After I paid they started making the meals, they then told me they were out of beef and that I had to choose another protein. Things happens, places run out of food at times. We got home and realized that they had forgotten two items we ordered. I was tired and just wanted to sit down so I wasn’t going back out to get it. I ate and the rice was very dry and you could tell it had been sitting out for A LONG TIME. The beans were burnt. It was just a horrible experience. I didn’t take the time to look through the reviews previously… that was my mistake. When I say that this food gave me food poisoning I mean it. I was up all night and the day after was horrible as well. My wife also got sick from this place as well. Unless there are some major changes please do not go to this restaurant. There are so many better...

The pupusas were ok but the service was terrible. I’m only even giving it two stars for the papusa but other that that, it’s just a no for me. I don’t speak fluent Spanish but I do understand A bit and my boyfriend he speaks Spanish fluently so him and the man behind the counter get to talking in Spanish and this man proceeds to tell him that he has girls from the ages of 18-42 in El Salvador (mind you we are in our late 20s almost 30s and this man is much older than us 🤨🧐) and that if he goes over there he can have some, and showing him pictures in front of me of other woman. I have never seen some more disrespectful and unprofessional behavior in any establishment in my life. And I think he was actually the owner or at least the boss or person in charge..I will never...
