Orchid Room — Restaurant in Avon

Great lunch spot in the gardens and greenhouses of Lorain Metroparks in Avon. Delicious Salads, sandwiches, wraps and treats are offered at reasonable prices that can be enjoyed inside or out. A little gem in the Lorain county Metroparks. Also available for private parties. We recently had a wedding ceremony and reception there originally planned for outdoors. Unfortunately mother nature had other plans but the staff put together a plan B that in some ways was better than the original. We had the ceremony in the conservatory and the staff moved benches, plants, etc. to accommodate the guests. It was beautiful! I attended a baby shower here and the room was spacious with a beautiful view of the outdoor botanical gardens thru glass walls. The indoor plant conservatory was nearby and it's so pretty, even in dreary weather! You can tell the plants and fish are well cared for. Conservatory staff are really nice and the small gift shop has cute seasonal and butterfly knick knacks. Both the Orchid Room, indoor and outdoor gardens, and restrooms are all accessible for wheelchair users. The Orchid Room has a kitchen area for cooking and heating up food for big gatherings. If you reserve the Orchid Room, the usual $2 fee per person to see the indoor gardens is waived for your guests who attend which was...

What a hidden gem in Avon. I had gone there for Easter Brunch last year and the food was so wonderful. My sons fiance booked her shower there. The ladies enjoyed the view of the indoor and outdoor gardens. The salads and stratas were very well received, too. I highly recommend the french toast blackberry buckle. The cake they did for the shower looked straight out of pinterest. The also made chocolate covered strawberries in her colors and a signature sangria in her colors. We really enjoyed it!
