I go to this pizza place at least two or three times a week and I love his food and I love his personality. I see a lot of reviews saying that he slammed the phone down. You have to understand him to know that he is a kind person. When you come in and pick up the food, he always calls you buddy. He’s always a very nice person. He takes a lot of pride in his business and makes very good food. He always treats his regulars very nice And has been in business for over 40+ years and he’s a one-man operation doing the Best he can at his age While Domino’s that just moved in up the street is taking away business from not only him but a lot of other local pizza chains with their AI business strategy. Ayer Is a small local town and most people know Devens Pizza. Most of the people writing the bad reviews are not from Ayer. They are the people that go to the soccer games up at Devon‘s field. Please support Devens Pizza and give them a good chance you will not Be disappointed. Ayer is a small town and we will not let a corporation AI business take it over and destroy our small businesses. This guy makes a great pizza. The wings are also very good. He cooks them in a large older brickoven style and they are so good. We have eat here several times and will continue to do so.

Me and my son have now tried his Subs as well OMGG... They really are one of the best subs we have eaten. The bread has the perfect amount of crunch from cooking in the brick oven style oven, the inside is warm and soft and juicy, so it's the perfect mixture of textures in every bite, along with multiple flavors from the ham and American cheese, lettuce and pickles with a little Mayo and Mustard. You MUST go get one today. When you go, don't forget the French fries, made to order every time so Hot and crunchy with some salt added. Careful they may sizzle your tongue if you try to eat them to quick as they are hot and delicious. You know how good food sometimes makes you bite your own jaw as your eating it to fast?? 😂 Yeah well it may be just me but that is how good it is.. If your ever in the area (Devens,MA) you must stop by this little place and grab some food, I guarantee you won't be disappointed. Thanks sir for keeping our bellies full.

Terrible place...owner has a bad attitude, food is average and place is run down.

Arrived Sun 9/1 around 1 pm. Walk in and greeted owner (I assume) behind counter. He stared back, expressionless and said "what do you want"? While I am a little shock I proceeded to order.

10 mins later, a family of 5 walked in. The owner immediately shouted "We're closed"! The lady replied "What?" and the owner mumbled "You heard me....". The lady shot back "I have an online order!". Wow....this is when I confirmed he has a bad attitude. I understand this is the Labor day weekend and he probably wants to close shop earlier but their website shows it closes 8 pm on Sunday. In addition, if you really want to close shop, at least 1) TURN OFF YOUR OPEN SIGN and 2) close the front door. He is clearly annoyed at customers walking into his restaurant at lunch time.

While waiting for my order, I answered a call on my cell. I am mindful that the owner could be acting up so I kept looking at the counter. I heard him call out "italian sub" once. When my call ends, I walked to the counter to pay and he said "I called you like 10 times" and I replied "I was on the phone" and he shot back "not my problem". This guy clearly has a huge attitude problem and I won't...
