Fish Tales Tavern — Restaurant in Babbitt

We ordered a burger, a philly cheese steak, and a chicken sandwich. Burger was clearly from frozen and seemed small and storebought, bun seemed cheap and storebought, fries were tasteless, also clearly from frozen and had the texture like they were microwaved. Mother-in-Law kept asking if her chicken sandwich had real chicken as it tasted overly processed, like the meat of a super cheap chicken nugget. My partner did not get his philly cheese steak, instead he got the wrong sandwich and drink. He corrected the drink, but gave up on the sandwich which tasted very gritty and gross.

All of this was $86.

My burger here was $17. A much superior and tasty burger at Biwabik Pizza Company is about $15 and is much larger with fresh fries and real non-frozen meat and large patties. If I drove to Duluth to 7West Tap House, I could get a massive burger with two patties, toppings, bacon, and fresh fries for $14 dollars.

Service is ok but the food isn't great. Ordered a swiss and blue cheese burger with boneless wings and the waitress comes back 5 min later saying the wings are discontinued... So I got the breaded mushrooms instead. The mushrooms come out and they are good but they served it with a cold cheese wiz sauce ( maybe they ran out of marinara noticed someone got mozzarella sticks and it came with a white dipping sauce.) When the burger came out I didn't taste any blue cheese so the waitress brought out a cup for me and I noticed the blue cheese isn't blue cheese.. after eating some of the fries I noticed the ones near the bottom are soggy because the burger came with pickles and the chef thought it was a good idea to hide them under the fries.
