We had a couple gift cards to come here for a gift exchange from my job, we were the only table in the whole restaurant. When we got there we were given a high chair that still had food on it from the previous dirty table where she grabbed it from, my 2 year old was giving me food from off the chair. As soon as we sat down our server asked “do you all want water” and we didn’t even order yet, after we ordered and received drinks our server spilled pop and water all down my back And didn’t even say sorry. Grabbed a towel and just gave it to my husband, it got all over my child’s jacket because it was on the back of my chair, in my hair, and down my back. After we got all cleaned up we ordered apps because they were bogo half off, placed our food order me and my husband both ordered salads and asked for them first and didn’t receive them until we got our dinner, we had to ask for refills from across the restaurant because our server wasn’t coming back. She didn’t ask how our food was, I had to ask for boxes and our check, the check was messed up because we didn’t get the bogo on apps when she fixed that she gave it back and I used my gift cards before my card to see how much each card was worth, I had to ask an employee who was off duty to get our server to cash us out. Food was VERY good but service Made it a very bad experience. Our server...
Read moreHubby and I went in to Porter Haus tonight we were happy to see the parking lot so full, however I was a little bummed to see so many snowmobiles. (The gas smell gives me a headache). Let me tell you though, they have perfect cubbies for helmets and gear right by the door. The energy was so happy and light in there that I quickly lost track of the smell. We were promptly greeted and seated by a local young lady, shout out to Josie! Jacqueline came around for drink orders followed by dinner recommendations as I wasn’t in the mood for my usual steak (which is always perfect). I opted for spaghetti and meatballs with breadsticks and Caesar salad. BAM knocked it out of the park- hubby had dinner envy, so I shared. Things took a little longer than usual, but see the service team hustling and working together was incredible! They prebussed each others tables, never went to kitchen or out of the kitchen empty handed, and took care of each others people with getting refills, boxes, or extras. WOW! It made me want my girls to work here. All other guests were happy and everyone enjoyed a night out. It really was as though all the guests were invited to dinner at their leisure and all the staff was simply there to make sure that everyone was taken care of! Well done Jacqueline!! You are a treat and your...
Read moreUPDATE: We returned for my husband's birthday and I must say we were so happy with the not only the food that was cooked to perfection but they had excellent staff, not only did our waitress but in total 4 people came over to check up on as as they went by. They even said a friendly happy birthday and gave him a awesome cake dessert. I even had the manager stop by to let him know how pleased we were with the food and service so i'll be changing stars. We will be eating there again. Feb 17 th 2019 ( a sunday) My husband and I went there for our 23 year anniversary. This was our very first time going. We heard great reviews and were excited to go. Once there we were sat at a dark table, where not only myself but the customers 2 tables away had to cell phones to see the menus. Then we had to wait over 15 minutes for service. When we finally were able to order it took so long my husband started to feel sick. While waiting tge olace got packed with snowmoblie riders. ( nothing against them all seemed to be having a good time) but the smell from thier machines was so over welming we got our dinner and my husband wanted to go home. The entire place filled up with the smell. Needless to say we didnt even get ro eat our meal there we took it to go. Super...
