If you want delicious and filling comfort food for a great price then you have to come to this place! I never knew it existed until my friend searched for a dinner place close to where our dance class was that night. It is located in a small strip mall and would be so easy to miss if you drove by. But I gotta tell you, this place is a total hidden gem!

First of all, the food! My gosh the food! I rarely get a chance to eat South American food and this was a huge treat. I ordered a couple of pupusas, an enchilada, and a Peruvian steak with eggs on top. My friend got a shrimp dish with grilled veggies. The pupusas were absolutely on point with the size, cheesiness, and flavor. The enchilada was definitely not the enchiladas I was accustomed to growing up in a Mexican family, but this South American version was packed with flavor. It seemed more like a tostada but it was tasty as heck. As for the steak, it was perfectly cooked and very juicy. The overeasy eggs on top added to the flavor explosion. All the sides like the french fries and rice were also done very well. The fries had a very good flavor to them probably from the steak juices. My friend really enjoyed her shrimp dish and I enjoyed the little bite I had. So if I could give more stars for the food I absolutely would.

For service, it was divine! The woman serving us was so sweet and kind. I got to speak some spanish with her and so that is always fun to do when I get the chance. Another woman, who I believe was the owner, was there as well and would come check on us and even brought a couple of our dishes out. I felt like I was at home being taken care of by my own mom. I wish I got her name because she was so warm and welcoming. We told her we loved her colorful decorations and lights in the restaurant.

They have plenty of tables and I do hope they get busy throughout the day. It was not very busy when we went but likely because we went just before they closed for the day. I will definitely come back for their breakfasts which looked pretty amazing on the menu. They also have an inhouse baker who makes lots of baked good treats. I was so full that I couldn't bring myself to buy more food but I will come back and try every one of them.

So please, go support this small business that does food and...

Update: we started coming back here, and all I can say never go when the owners are NOT in. The service today was horrible and I will be disputing part of my charge with the bank. Took my other half here for Father's day after driving 3 hrs from the beach, just to get treated horribly. We ordered our usual and the steak had No flavor, I let the waiter know and her response was, no one else had had a complaint. They never apologized or offered a replacement. We did not eat the steak and left it and called the owner who gave me her number if we were to ever have another issue. She explained she would call the restaurant which I am not sure if that happened because I still ended up paying for the uneaten food and did not receive a follow-up. This is was so disappointing because we came here to enjoy Father's day and left upset and pissed. I think we gave this place enough chances and probably why there were barley any customers on Fathers days. Customer service is extremely important in food service, at least food me an since this place shows the lack of appreciation of repeated customers I will not be back.

Older review: I hope the owner reaches out, this is my favorite place to eat but today my order was halfway wrong amd my food was cold and the rice was soggy. This place usually never dissappoints me but when I called to tell them my order was wrong and I had to reorder I did not even get an Im sorry. My usual dish was not up to par and tasted horrible. I dont know what happened today but very dissatisfied Update we reordered and they never made our food. Ive been coming here for years and will never be back this is ridiculous, changed to 1 star! Tried to call to speak to owner and they kept ignoring my call and sent me...

My recent visit to Cafe Sazon left me utterly disgusted and outraged by the blatant discrimination I faced. As a person with a disability, I was shocked and appalled when asked to provide my service animal card upon entering the establishment. This demand was not only insulting but also illegal, violating my fundamental rights as a patron.

The audacity of the staff to question my disability and demand proof is beyond comprehension. It is an egregious violation of my dignity and an affront to basic decency. I refuse to tolerate such blatant discrimination, especially in a supposedly inclusive and welcoming environment.

Cafe Sazon must be held accountable for its actions. I demand an immediate and unequivocal apology from the management for this despicable behavior. Additionally, I expect them to implement rigorous training programs to educate their staff on disability rights and proper customer service protocols.

Furthermore, I will not hesitate to take legal action against Cafe Sazon for their flagrant violation of my rights. Discrimination has no place in our society, and businesses that engage in such reprehensible behavior must face severe consequences.

Please do not support places where they do not respect clients but only care about the money. Until Cafe Sazon demonstrates genuine remorse and takes concrete steps to rectify this injustice, they do not deserve our business or support.

I will take further action against this place to ensure that they will no longer abuse people with disabilities. Until they demonstrate genuine remorse and take concrete steps to rectify this injustice, they do not deserve our...

Get the Huevos Rancheros. Update: first review posted 3 years ago. I've been going to Cafe Sazon every weekend since then. What a great place for breakfast! I always get the Huevos Rancheros. They also serve salteñas now. If you've never had one, you must experience it! The pupusas are also made fresh and taste great. I also recommend the Sazon Skillet, my wife's favorite. I've tried a few other dishes and all have been good. You can't go wrong. And the coffee is great too! The staff is amazing. It's all family owned and operated. They are very friendly. The vibe is low key and comfortable. I always feel good every time I walk through the door.

Looking for something a little different for breakfast? Check out Cafe Sazon on Columbia Pike. This South American cafe offers breakfast, lunch and dinner. Wifey and I visited for a delicious Sunday breakfast. Both of our coffees (Cappuccino and latte) were great. She said her latte was velvety and my cappuccino had the perfect amount of foam. For entrees, she had the Huevos con Chorizo which came with puffy but dense tortillas. I had the El Mananero skillet which was delicious and plentiful. Both dishes had plantains which were also excellent. We’ll definitely be back.
