Today, Dec.28.21 at about 7:10pm, we decided to go to this place (LE jardin). Yes New business, nice location, great decoration, but unfortunately (1) one very bad person handling it. I wish I never had to write this review, but felt it's necessary to alert customers to avoid confrontation, and perhaps a fight. First, we decided to sit outside. Once the weather started to be chilly, we asked this guy, whom said to be the manager, that came to take our orders, if we could get the gas hearter turned on. He was very rude and immediately said, "we are out of gas". 30 minutes or so later, at check out, the same guy was handling & monitoring my transaction and aggressively demanded that I "must" include tips for them. I told him with all respect, that such was optional, but he was very hostile and again demanded that I included tips. Just because of his attitude, I was afraid especially when he lost his temper. At that moment, I decided to get my receipt & just leave. But he kept aggressively talking to me and even threatened me by saying "you cannot return here if you don't tip" and then followed me outside to where my friends where waiting and again started to demand for tips. One of my friends gave him cash & I felt sorry for what has happened but his hostile attitude, aggressive temper and none professional approach made me realize that he was not the manager, rather than a aggressive cashier who will not let you go without getting what he wants or else. I will never go back, not because he said so, but because am afraid he will attack me or even commit a crime if I don't like anything or ask for something or to practice my wright. If managers or owner really care, to please review today's recordings & have a talk to this hostile...
Read morePotential. I see lots of potential for this business. The outdoor area was spacious and comfortable and the setting was relaxing (sat outdoors, friend wanted hookah (sheesh, argila)).
The food menu was limited so we opted for the appetizer platter, which was good but not any different than most places. Beverages and food were all served in disposable service-ware which took from the experience, but to their credit they were properly observing health codes by take appropriate safety precautions on this (I'm the kind that may whine about this but appreciate it all the same). Water is sold in bottles and there is a per person minimum based on the business model, although if you grab a hookah or food and a beverage you will be quite close anyway, just keep this in mind so one is not surprised.
The hookah (friend's description) service was great and coals were changed and monitored for good burn and experience. They offered both the three kings and the coco nara types of charcoal based on preference and we're mindful of providing tips for the hoses in consideration of sanitation. Standard flavors for the hookah tobacco were available. Friend tried one of the house mixes which was good but didn't stand out for them in any particular. They encourage asking the server for flavor recommendations regarding the house mix, they mentioned having a better description of the mix flavor profiles to help with flavor selection.
Please note, to be fair, that when I went (Sept. 10) the interior area and parts of the kitchen were under renovation, so please be mindful when considering the rating and experience being described.
While I did not take photos (it was dark) the seating...
Read moreI’ve never experienced such horrendous service at a hookah lounge before, and it’s all thanks to the manager. I had an iced coffee that was almost finished, and when I tried to bring it in, the waitress approached me with a condescending attitude, rudely telling me I couldn’t bring it inside. I asked why, and she snapped, “It’s policy,” without offering any explanation or trying to make the situation better. When I asked for clarification, she said she’d call the manager.
This is where it gets worse. The manager, who clearly had no understanding of customer service, came over with an attitude that was downright disrespectful. Instead of explaining anything politely, he coldly said, it’s our policy.” When I asked why it was such an issue, he barely looked at me and said, “We can’t do anything about it.” He didn’t even try to offer a reasonable solution or show any empathy. His whole demeanor was rude, dismissive, and completely unprofessional.
He literally told me, "It's almost done, so stand here and finish it before you go inside." How disrespectful is that? He had me standing outside like I was some sort of inconvenience because I was finishing my drink. No apology, no offer to find a solution—just an arrogant, dismissive attitude.
This manager has no respect for customers, and his behavior ruined my entire experience. I will NEVER return to this place, and I highly advise anyone to stay away if you want to be treated with even a...
