Jersey Mike's Subs — Restaurant in Baker

Unfortunately, we must agree with so many other reviewers that this place should not be your first choice for buying anything while waiting to charge your vehicle. The prices are out of this world and for the most part, double what you would pay back home. Unlike airport prices due to high concession costs inside an airport, there is no excuses here for both of the fast food restaurants located in the same complex except to price gouge their customers. It is sad just how bad it is here. I agree with another reviewer to walk down or stop in at the Taco Bell before buying anything here. Better yet, bring a cooler with food and drinks and you will not need to use any of their services. I guess if enough people complain or stop using these locations, maybe the owners will take the hint, but for as long as we have been travelling this interstate, do not hold your breath. No need for response by owner to give us a standard “boiler plate” response. This will be the same response we will leave for Jersey Mike’s Subs and Dairy Queen Grill. Both locations have restrooms (not the cleanest in town) and plenty of free parking in front of the buildings. Jersey Mike’s has no indoor seating but there is covered seating with tables out in front. Jersey Mike’s is located inside the Food Shop, which does not show up on Google Maps, so we must rate this facility all-in-one. Food Shop staff is not the friendliest or most helpful people around, its like they do not want to be there. Jersey Mike’s staff members were alright but nothing to write home about. Stopped at this location on the way to Los Angeles. My wife has a significant gluten allergy and was ecstatic to find this location offered gluten free subs. The staff asked if her gluten free order was a diet choice or allergy. When she told them it was an allergy, they immediately wiped down all surfaces and the meat slicer. Without complaints, they safely made her order exactly as she requested.

We had a bad experience a couple years ago at a different Jersey Mike's location with their gluten free protocols and we had not come back to one until now. The staff at the Baker location have won us over. This was the first sub she has been able to safely eat in over 6 years.

Horrible!!!! 1.Restroom so dirty 2. Coffee like water 3. When I get the coffee my baby touched a cup and I put it back shortly, then two men gave me four cups and said I have to buy all of them because my baby touched them. I said I never hear this, then he say bad words to me,I said he crazy but he never stop also say my baby something. I were mad and voice loud I want he respect to us, but they did not! My baby crying that I really want to call the police but my husband feels us not safety so he gave them money and left.
