Augie's Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Bangor

Augies is probably a great place, just went there on a bad night. We sat down and got our food order in, and got our drinks right away. Then waited about 30 minutes before we mentioned that our food hasn’t come in. This wasn’t a very busy night. They told us that they forgot to put our curds in, and then waited another 15 minutes before the appetizers arrived. They said that they were busy and had a lot of orders ahead of us. We were looking for our food order the entire time. They weren't busy at all. No updates. No nothing. They had multiple breaks we noticed though! After about another 30 minutes, we asked the cook very nicely if the rest of our food was done, she totally ignored us! And then turned around acting like she didn’t hear us. Outrageous! Could only give us drink chips for compensation! Can’t and won’t go there again because of this experience. From all these other reviews, I’m sure this is a good place. Very Upsetting!! Our group has been coming here for sometime every Saturday eve usually around 10 of us. And every time we come . Augie has to remind us that he don't make any money on his food only his drinks. So until he gets all the drinks made he may make food. Well any bar owner knows that (except Augie) if you feed them they usually stay longer and will order several drinks. To start with our whole group ordered a drink then proceeded to order food he shoved all of our food orders to the corner of the bar and said" I don't make any money on food so I am serving only drinks that's what I make money on" At that point we all set our drinks back on the bar and canceled all of our food orders and went to another bar.Just an FYI we spend over $200.00 on drinks as long as we can get a little food with it.
