If you need comforting southern home cooking in your life, then stop here. This place has all the traditional southern side items and a plethora of desserts, and the chicken and dressing is delicious.

Their hours are on the earlier side, but if you need a hearty meal at a steal of a price then check it out. If you catch their breakfast (before 10:30, I believe), their homemade gravy is really good. They do not accept credit or debit cards. There's an ATM at Huck's across the street or the bank a few blocks south.

Met lelia at lukes restaurant one night she said she was the cook at carols.. we decided to go and have lunch wow it was just fantastic. We had the beef vegetable soup and potato salad with fried ham and my husband had a turkey sub sandwich with the soup he said it was the best he has had since we came to Kentucky.
