Aurora Mexican Restaurant — Restaurant in Barnesville

This was our 2nd visit. Once in March then April or May 23.The 1st time we just wanted drinks but we ordered dip, tacos and wings (all flats). Wings were really good. My husband and I debated whether they get them next door but either way they were good. One of the daiquiri had to be remade, it was more melted than frozen, but We decided to go back and repeat our order which we did except this time the wings came out all drumettes and one flat(. We told our hostesses that we ordered all flats she offered to REDO them and she also stated to her crew members that our order was wrong. Since It was closing my husband said we’ll box them up to go he ate maybe 2 and we boxed the rest up for my son. When we went to pay we made the cashier aware as well that our order was wrong & a discount should be honored or free dessert next time or something, The cashier relayed to another lady whom asked us what was wrong. We stated the wings were not all flats. We don’t do all flats so it’s not wrong. I told her we just came in March and we got all flats. No no not all flats we don’t do them -well why did our hostess insist on doing them over. But no argument here cherish those 2 visits we’ll just get wings ALL FLATS from next door like we have always done except for TWO...

I’ve been to this place quite a few times, food is always excellent, and service is usually very good. However I would not recommend coming to this place within an hour of them closing. I just made that mistake, I showed up at 9:15, and they do not close until 10 PM. The service was terrible, we never got any refills on drinks, chips, or salsa. They brought my six-year-old daughter a plate that felt like it came from the fiery volcanoes of hell, come on let’s not give a six-year-old a plate that hot. Before our food was even brought out to us, the waitresses were stacking chairs on top of tables moving boots and cleaning the small dining area all around us. Both my wife and I felt like we were getting dirty looks from the waitresses that were there. They made us feel very uncomfortable and awkward for even being in the restaurant. Don’t get me wrong, it is still my favorite local Mexican restaurant, and I will come back. But now I know better than to come anytime close to when...

The food was so so. I guess that's probably not the most objective review bc I expect Mexican food to be at least as good as I can cook. It wasn't. And I cook authentic Mexican food. But the worst part was I called in to order. When I got there to pick it up, a car whipped in front of me and nearly hit my car. If not for my always being very cautious, he would have hit me. What made it even worse was that the parking spot I was ALMOST in, was handicapped parking. Which with my lung and heart problems, I'm handicapped. Then the icing on the cake? I enter the restaurant and the woman behind the counter lies to me saying she doesn't know WHO the car in the handicapped parking belongs to.
