Craigville Pizza & Mexican — Restaurant in Barnstable

I have been eating here for close to twenty years. I have had ONE issue in twenty years. I have had more issues then that when I used to eat Zagat choices 2 times a week. A good way to tell a good quality place is when the staff is always friendly and rarely turns over. This is one of those places. I do strongly recommend getting your pizza well, well, well, well done. It makes it so much better, granted this is a personal opinion, but if your half a Pizano like me (On the good side) it makes it like hard crust Italian bread outside and soft dough in the middle. The drivers are all great and the girl(s) who answer the phone are always courteous and even usually remember my order before I make it!! (I know I am getting so predictable. If anyone wants to kill me I don't think it would be too hard) but I digress. This is no Zagat top choice but a local Pizza and Mexican place but I give it 5 stars because they try and do their best at everything they have to work with, the quality of the ingredients are above par, the food always has flavor and the prices are better then fair. I live here year round, my family goes to Craigville Pizza & Mexican at least once per week. This does not include my Mother in Law and her woman's groups who go more than one time per week. My daughter recently moved here and I suggested this restaurant. Big mistake, her and her family were treated horribly. They sat for 15 minutes before being handed a menu, then the waitress told my son in law he could not get steak on his taco salad (I get steak on it all the time for an extra charge) she stated "does the menu say steak no it does not". My daughter and her husband were served their food and my poor 3 year old granddaughter never got her food. The waitress stated it got lost in the mix....They finished their meal before my granddaughter got hers, they actually had to get it to go. The waitress never came back to ask if they needed anything else, she never gave came back to see if they needed another drink, the waitress never smiled. I will never recommend this restaurant to anyone if this is how they are treated. I called an asked for the manager, I was offered no compensation for my daughter as an apology to draw them back to try them again. I guess they...

Was late for lunch for us. Wanted a slice of pizza with my Mexican food so I was bummed I didn’t get any because they only do slices at lunchtime. The place is a combination pizza - sub shop and a Mexican restaurant. The atmosphere was nice and they even have one of the old Ms Pac-Man games which we have played for a few decades coming here. I got the Mexican sampler which was an enchilada and a burrito with sour cream and black olives and a soft taco I got the chicken but you can get whatever and if you prefer the hard shell you can get that too. We got chicken fingers they were really juicy and tender. Apps we got chips and salsa and Italian dip with is basically like garlic bread strips with mozzarella cheese dipped in a red sauce. Overall the place was quiet and super air conditioned. Today was 85 out and inside you would never guess. They have plenty of seating. Booth style but really comfy to sit and enjoy a meal. My mom had to eat here weekly when she was alive and that’s saying a lot. She was picky for food out at restaurants. My whole family loves it here and we have been eating here for decades.
