I was working in the area and stopped for a sandwich after my appointment. I was met with a sign on the door that said "Short Staffed...please be polite and patient" which I totally get and love to support small businesses trying their best. The women at the register smiled and said hello. I made my way to the deli and was met by the wicked witch of the west. She wasn't just unfriendly, she was down right rude. I took my receipt to the register to pay and the women working the register was lovely to me once again and handed me some napkins for my sandwich. I felt the need to thank her for being so friendly and reminded her that if you are asking people to be patient and polite you should treat your customers the same way and motioned to the Deli (it wasn't the first time she had heard that). Once my chicken salad sandwich (which was very good) and homemade potato chips (which were out of this world) were done, I took my food and left. Whether I lived 10 minutes or 2 1/2 hours away I will never step foot in that store again. After the way I was treated as a paying customer you should ask yourself why you are short staffed to begin with....I think if you cared to read all these reviews you may have your answer. To the nice women working the...
Read moreI don’t usually write reviews, but I felt compelled to share my experience due to how incredibly unpleasant it was.
During a long drive through the mountains with my friend and our dogs, we decided to stop here for coffee and a sandwich. We let the dogs out on leashes to stretch their legs since they had already gone to the bathroom.
Almost immediately, we were confronted by a woman who seemed to be in charge. She approached us in a very aggressive manner, asking if we were going to pick up after our dogs. We assured her that we are responsible pet owners and that our dogs were simply enjoying some fresh air. Instead of a polite response, she continued to berate us, insisting that we had no right to let our dogs on her property.
Her demeanor was downright demeaning and hostile, making it clear that she had no interest in a respectful conversation. Feeling belittled and unwelcome, we chose to leave rather than continue to be treated so rudely.
It’s disappointing to see that other reviews reflect similar experiences. A kind and respectful attitude is crucial in customer service, and this encounter made it clear that this establishment lacks that. I certainly won’t be returning.
I have honestly never come across somebody so...
Read moreWe are locals, we’ve ordered many times. I always order a steak quesadilla which is absolutely delicious! My husband says the prime rib dinner is perfect. The next time we ordered we tried to get 2 prime rib dinners and the woman said they ran out and try to order in a couple hours ( they would’ve been closed). Today, for lunch, we ordered 2 loaded steak subs, a turkey BLT on toasted rye ( I wanted a steak quesadilla but was told that they couldn’t do it.. ok maybe they’re out of wraps?) hand-cut fries and hand-cut chips, originally wanted hand-cut onion rings but they never seem to have them (was told she could only do one order of fries when we wanted 3…ok not a big deal, I’ve worked in the serving industry and also know what it takes to make hand-cut fries). The fries were raw in the middle, the subs didn’t have peppers onions or mushrooms and the sub roll was so doughy it’s inedible. The woman was short on the phone, rushed me through ordering, and told me to be quick grabbing a drink for my son. Not the first time she’s been rude to me but it will be the last. It’s unfortunate because we love to support local businesses but NOT rude local businesses. Total amount paid was...
