La Gondola Spaghetti House — Restaurant in Bartonville

It was a co worker who recommended this place to me and feel in love with the salad and garlic bread, well today upon entering and walking to the counter has made me think twice about this place. I looked back and seen a young girl, had to be a teenager, and she was handling the spaghetti noodles with no glove, she stop and turned for a second and that's when she got to scratching under her mask, she turned around and proceeded to handling the noodles, which you can tell they were being prepared for an customer. Its an sanitary issue for me and then we are still in a pandemic, which does not make it any better. The other lady had on gloves and was just wondering why this young girl didn't and why she had to use bare hands to handle food. Will definitely second guess before I go back. I don't understand!!! I grew up in Galesburg and LaGondola was a staple for 30 years. Family get togethers we have to have the garlic bread even grilling at the house. We get family feasts when everyone is home. My wife and i moved to peoria from Chicago 3 years ago. All excited we have la gondola. It is just okay. The bread, the ravioli, sandwiches (because of the bread), sauce everything is subpar compared to Galesburg. Its not just Bartonville, its all of Peoria area on both sides of the river. Well let's start off saying I didn't know they had pizza. Called and then enthusiastic person that answered the phone said it is absolutely delicious you must try it. But you know how some places are they all say their pizzas are good. So we took a chance and went over there and checked it out and bartonville Illinois. As I show a picture of this you could judge for yourself plenty of toppings, cooked to perfection, and it tasted pretty good. I will definitely be coming back.
