Honestly speaking the places all right you know it's not nothing that you can't fix at home yourself That's if you know how to cook but if you don't know how to cook then this this would perfect place for you like I said the place is all right it's nothing to jump up and cut flips and kick to jump up and kick your heels about and for my understanding from what I've seen Yeah I've been there a few times with other you know family members the food ain't all this cracked up to be for what they charge the amount of money they charge which is definitely overpriced the food ain't really worth the amount of money they charge them for the food in other words they need to step their game up when it comes to their food menu items they definitely need to step through that game up because you have restaurants that are not too far from there like for instance you have this other Asian sushi restaurant that's in the same parking lot is the Kroger there or the food is really good and you have the Mexican restaurant that's across the street from there on 407 there that's in the same parking lot there as the Dutch Brothers the food there is pretty decent but again look at the prices of these food menu items that they charging you And make sure that it's worth the amount of money that they're charging you for because a lot of these places like the portion out the food to you like you are five or 10-year-old kid and you a grown adult so my thing is if they're charging a customer anywhere from $11 on up to like 13 14 or $15 worth food menu items make sure you get your money's worth because if you don't ask questions you going to be in for a big surprise when that food come to you table it's not going to be the portion that you think you should be getting by the line is if you going to a place and you look at the menu and the prices are in a range where they seem like they ridiculously overpriced that's not the place you want to be at because some of these places do not give you your money's worth especially the amount of money that they charge you for the food items a place is like hillside restaurant and Highland village they give you one's worth places like the dirty Cajun which is over in Bedford right off the 121 freeway definitely get your money's worth matter of fact that's the new location of the dirty Cajun if you like good New Orleans thing food you get a lot of food for your money most definitely Yeah but this place the food is overpriced it's not always cracked up to be and I noticed that you have where Marty B is branching out to try to compete with like places like Starbucks and all these other no ice the ice cream shop and trying to compete with torchy's tacos you got a little own little taco spot all that same little parking lot you know which is not wrong with that you know nothing wrong with trying to try something new and try something different you know but if that's something you like if you like that and knock yourself out but she's speaking if you try the food and if it's all right and if that's what you like then" hey that's what you...
Read moreWas on my own. Was seated at kind of a weird four top booth thing where if there were two people they have to sit kind of next to each other or at opposite ends. For me it made no difference and it was comfortable. The people that sat across from me at a similar table didn't seem to mind it either but it was just a little odd. My server's name, I think, was Anessa but it was kind of loud and so I'm not certain. I'm pretty certain it's not Vanessa though 🙂 She seemed a bit busy and or distracted at first but she found her stride and everything went well. She checked on me often enough but not too often, there were runners to take away plates etc. Overall the service was quite good. I ordered some stuffed jalapenos as an appetizer, they brought three or four, I ate one as it was enough for two or three people. I ordered the steak a little bit warmer than medium rare and it was just about perfect. Maybe a little rare but I'm good with that as it makes it easy to reheat leftovers. I ate about half and all of the sides. The side salad was good and the side dish of au gratin potatoes was also good but not stellar. The first cocktail I had was an old fashioned and it was good and strong and I enjoyed it. With dinner I had a blueberry vodka something that was absolutely delicious, can't remember the name but it has blueberry vodka and lemon I believe. The third cocktail was a Clyde Barrow and it was good too but the best one was that blueberry thing in the martini glass. For dessert I had the toffee dessert with ice cream. A little too sweet for me. The ice cream is good. I enjoy toffee but it was just a little much. It was like a toffee brownie but had that kind of soft center like a volcano chocolate dessert does. I had a glass of amaretto and cream with dessert. They seem to own several businesses in the parking lot, not sure what the situation is and what those other places offer and how good they are but I'm interested to try them. I've been here once before, just stopped for a drink and an appetizer but wanted to come back and have dinner and scope it out in case I want to bring friends. It's a large restaurant with lots of room including outside but, as it seems is the way of things these days, it was really loud in there. everything is hard surfaces and concrete floors etc etc but it didn't affect the food and I can put in ear plugs if I have to 🙂. So to sum up, I recommend it, the steak was good, well cooked the sides were at least average or better the cocktails were very good and the service was, well not high-end restaurant level but pretty dang close and definitely better than average for this price point. I'll definitely be back and you should...

We decided on Marty B’s after hearing great things about the food and discovering that they also feature live music. It seemed like the ideal choice.
We started with the brisket queso. The brisket itself added nice flavor, though the cheese base reminded me more of Velveeta with a smoky note. Not a major issue, but it didn’t stand out. I did appreciate the paprika on the chips—an innovative touch. For my entrée, I ordered the two-meat platter with jalapeño cheddar sausage and brisket, paired with sweet potato fries and asparagus. The sausage was excellent, the brisket was fairly average, and while the asparagus was unremarkable, I did enjoy the cinnamon seasoning on the fries.
My wife chose the pulled pork tacos and a frozen margarita—her go-to drink. She absolutely loved the tacos, which was a highlight of the evening. Her side of green chili mac and cheese was just okay. She also tried a strawberry and a mango margarita but found them underwhelming since they weren’t blended very well. For dessert, we shared the ooey gooey cake with ice cream, which was outstanding—one of the best desserts I’ve had in a while. On food alone, I’d give Marty B’s a solid 4 out of 5.
The venue itself reminded us of the Gristmill—large, lively, and bustling—with the bonus of live music, which was a great touch. Our waitress was kind and attentive, but unfortunately the service dynamic overall hurt the experience. Since it was a date night, we asked if things could be paced a little slower. Our waitress honored that, but multiple other servers continued to check in, quickly clearing plates and refilling drinks despite our repeated requests to take things at a slower pace. The rushed atmosphere left us feeling like we needed to inhale our food, which dampened the experience.
After dinner, we tried to enjoy the live music, but there were no seats available, so we ended up standing in the way of other guests. When my wife started feeling a little sick from eating too quickly, we found a small couch area to sit for a few minutes. However, we were told those spots were reserved for rent, so we got up and left.
In the end, Marty B’s struck me as a better fit for a family outing than for a date night. While the food was enjoyable, the overall experience left us feeling rushed and more like we were being moved along than welcomed to linger. For us, it was...
